Unlock the stylish Half Times Two hairstyle in Final Fantasy 14 with our step-by-step guide. Transform your character today!
Final Fantasy 14 has consistently shone not only in its storytelling but also in its remarkable character customization, which many would consider a strong contender for second place. Square Enix's renowned MMORPG has continually offered its global player base an impressive array of character customizations, featuring distinctive Eorzean races, versatile hairstyles, and a vast selection of gear and outfit glamours.
In Final Fantasy 14, hairstyles are among the most coveted customization features, with the A Half Times Two hairstyle standing out as a particularly popular choice. While this elaborate and ornate style is undeniably attractive, achieving it can be a tumultuous endeavor.
Final Fantasy 14: How to Get A Half Times Two Hairstyle
In Final Fantasy 14, character hairstyles can be acquired through a variety of avenues. These include rewards from the Gold Saucer, the Island Sanctuary, and Ishgard's Firmament, as well as through engaging in various battle content like Variant Dungeons, Field Operations, Alliance Raids, and beyond. The 'A Half Times Two' hairstyle is uniquely accessible through a newer form of battle content, which may present a significant challenge for certain Warriors of Light.
To unlock the 'A Half Times Two' hairstyle introduced in Dawntrail's Patch 7.15, you must engage in and successfully complete the Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) Alliance Raid multiple times. Introducing a groundbreaking challenge in Final Fantasy 14, Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) offers an exhilarating and formidable encounter where 24 players face off against the iconic and cherished boss, the Cloud of Darkness. Before you can queue and engage in this duty, you need to meet the following prerequisites:
- Combat class at Level 100 with an Item Level of 710 or higher (matching the criteria for Minstrel's Ballad: Sphene's Burden)
- Finish the "Dawntrail" Main Scenario Quest
- Engage with the Wandering Minstrel located in Tuliyollal at coordinates (X:11.1, Y:14.7) to gain access to the duty in your Raid Finder.
As noted earlier, you can queue for Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) through your Raid Finder menu (not Duty Finder), where a green monster icon will be visible. Choose this option, and the duty will be displayed in the drop-down menu below. Automatically queue for it this way, or join a preformed group through the game's Party Finder menu, similar to the regular Alliance Raids like the FF11-inspired Jeuno series.
After finishing Cloud of Darkness Chaotic, you'll have the opportunity to obtain either Clouddark Demimateria I or Clouddark Demimateria II totems. These can be exchanged with the vendor Uah'shepya in Solution Nine at the Nexus Arcade (X:8.7, Y:13.5) for a selection of appealing rewards, including the 'A Half Times Two' hairstyle, available for 49 x Clouddark Demimateria II totems.
While it might feel daunting to collect that many totems from tough battle content, there are several strategies to enhance your drop rates for these valuable items after a win. Including at least one new player in a queued instance of Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) boosts the rewards received after a successful clear, with the increase directly proportional to the number of new players added. Additionally, exclusive bonuses may be available at specific times during the day, enhancing the overall drop rate of items for everyone.
If you prefer not to engage in this kind of battle content and have a surplus of gil at your disposal, you can also acquire the 'A Half Times Two' hairstyle from the Market Board. Stay informed that, similar to other hairstyles available for purchase in the game, the prices for this sought-after item will vary across different servers and data centers. Monitor the prices closely and make sure to spend your gil wisely. When supply exceeds demand, you might discover an opportunity to snag the latest style at a surprisingly low price.
Rest assured, if your character belongs to the Viera or Hrothgar races, this hairstyle is perfectly compatible for both male and female options. For those looking to completely transform their character to match this fresh hairstyle, the game has consistently provided free Fantasia options to players, courtesy of its regular graphic updates.
