Decisions you make in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will have consequences. There are a number of important choices you'll have to make while the main tale unfolds. In the Zone, you can't win by doing the incorrect thing, unlike in many games. As a solo Stalker, you're left with the choice of which faction best serves your interests, given that each has its own agenda and priorities. When confronted with the Ward during an interrogation sequence in STALKER 2, you'll have to choose between showing him the Unusual PDA you obtained or not.
Colonel Korshunov will reward you with the Ward Badge and a complimentary rifle if you choose to present him with the item. This will put you in an alliance with this group, however this item is crucial because it will make the main quests simpler to advance through. However, the story will continue properly even if you refrain from showing the device to the man; in this case, you will not receive the badge.
Displaying the Unusual PDA to others isn't limited to this situation. When you re-meet Scar, it occurs a second time. You can display the man his insults by using the Ward Badge, but he will still fling them at you. The next mission will proceed regularly regardless of your choice, thus this decision isn't that important.
The encounter with Strider and the Noontide group marks the third occurrence. The outcome will be the same regardless of which option you choose, much like Scar. If you ask the man, he'll say they need more proof before doing anything. Therefore, rather of selecting the "Your men did this" option, it is preferable to simply display the device.
Everyone should see the Unusual PDA, in my opinion. Obtaining the badge will make things easier and speed up the main quest progress, so it's worth doing unless you despise the Ward. Making Scar's group miserable isn't important to me because I'm not very fond of them either. Make a decision based on what you're interested in; the Zone does not have any heroes.
