Getting better gear is the only way to level up your character in STALKER 2. There is no weapon or ammo that is not valuable in gold. Located north of the Zalissya camp, you may observe a water tower (represented by the green player cursor) that stores water. Use the ladder to reach the top, being cautious of any suction anomalies along the way.
Atop the tower, in a bag, is where you can find the weapon. This is a rifle that has a top-notch scope attached to it. In the early going, it will be invaluable, particularly for battles fought at medium range. The firearm has two firing modes: fully automatic and single shot. You can take out more adversaries with well-placed headshots, so it's highly recommended to shoot them one by one.
This is the kind of weapon that, with the right attachments and technical upgrades (which are detailed in the How to repair and modify weapons? page), may serve you well for quite a while.
Once again, a Monolith rifle with a good crosshair. In contrast to its predecessor, it fires a unique kind of bullets. The Journalist's Stash contains it; it is situated southeast of Zalissya, close to the Sphere.
Head over to the Journalist's Stash marking. On your left as you enter the Sphere, you'll see a ladder leading to the roof. Just beyond the pipes, you'll see a container. To obtain the weapon, open it. Be wary, though, because the Sphere may be home to several foes. Sneeking past or killing off the whole opponent squad is the way to go.
This rifle has a stellar reputation for accuracy, range, and armor penetration. Compared to AKM-74S, it does somewhat less damage, which is a shame. Regardless, it remains among the top starting weapons in the game.
The SVDM-2 is a rifle sniper that is sure to pique your interest if you favor warfare at a distance. You can obtain it by traveling to the Northern Checkpoint, which is located north of Zalissya. Locate the structure shown by the green player's pointer.
The antagonist Leshiy, who has been antagonistic towards us throughout, is holding the weapon. Since Leshiy is alone and on a higher floor, the battle itself isn't that challenging. However, gaining access to the building presents a slight challenge. Watch out for rope traps. Upon entering, a grenade will detonate, inflicting heavy damage and a lengthy stunned state. Just go up to the traps or grab the grenade to detonate them.
With a single well-placed shot from the sniper rifle, you may eliminate any threat in your path. With a magazine capacity of up to ten shots, the sniper rifle may swiftly dispatch foes from a distance.
Just outside the building where you battled Leshiy is a ladder. Ascend it to reach the rooftop.
Use the ladder to descend from the opposite side. Jumping is an extremely dangerous activity that almost guarantees your death if you do it.
As soon as you descend, leap onto an even lower structure. You can discover a cache containing a weapon there. It's an upgraded version of the original Viper, yet another firearm. The silencer and larger magazine that come with it, though, are what really set it apart.
