In Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, players are tasked not only with personal financial management for gear upgrades and gifts but also with the crucial responsibility of funding the feeding and ongoing maintenance of four distinct villages. This necessitates a significant cash flow to ensure villager happiness and to keep your gear up to par for the increasingly challenging battles in the main story. This guide will outline the most effective methods for earning money in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, ensuring you're never short on G.

How to Get Money Easily in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

There are several efficient strategies to easily accumulate money in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. These include:
  • Sell Old Gear
  • Prioritize the Best Crops
  • Collect Village Produce
  • Check the Requests Boards Every Day
  • Clear Out Your Inventory
  • Build Businesses in Every Village
  • Go Fishing Every Day
Let's delve into each method:

Sell Old Gear

As you advance through Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you'll unlock new crafting recipes for superior weapons and armor. While upgrading existing gear is an option, you'll eventually reach a point where crafting an entirely new weapon with better base stats becomes more cost-effective than continually upgrading your old ones. At this juncture, you have two choices: either pass your old gear down to a party member if they're using inferior equipment, or sell it. Selling a sword you've upgraded a few times can easily net you several thousand G.The more you play, the more valuable equipment you'll accumulate, often sitting unused in your inventory. Make sure to regularly sell these items, and you'll rarely find yourself strapped for cash. The only exception would be if you plan to transmog an old piece of gear to maintain a stylish appearance for your party members.

Prioritize the Best Crops

While you have the freedom to plant a wide variety of crops across the four villages, the fastest way to earn money in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is to focus on cultivating the most profitable crop for each village. The "best crops" are those that boast the highest base sell value combined with a relatively short growth time. Furthermore, you'll want to maximize the usable space in each village by prioritizing field tiles to grow as many crops as possible, ensuring a consistent income.Tip: Every morning, make it a habit to run around your villages and use the Drum Dance on your crops. This significantly accelerates their growth time, potentially allowing you to harvest some crops within just 2-3 in-game days of planting.

Collect Village Produce

Many of the buildings you can construct for each village will generatespecific produce daily. This can range from common items like salt tomore refined goods such as soy sauce. All of these products cancontribute a substantial amount of money over time. While thesebuildings do have an initial construction cost, it's typically minimal, and they will quickly pay for themselves through daily production. Eachday, these buildings produce three or four units of their namesakeproducts (e.g., vinegar, soy sauce, miso). Each unit typically sells for approximately 30-60 Gold, which quickly adds up.

Check the Request Boards Every Day

Every village features a request board that players should check daily for new tasks. These requests can be as simple as defeating a specific type of enemy or collecting five units of a certain item.5 Each request comes with an attached reward, and while some offer seeds, food items, or tiles, many also provide direct monetary compensation.

For example, regularly completing three daily quests that requiredsubmitting common crafting materials or monster parts (such as cloth, monster horns, and feathers) could easily earn 1,000 G per day, takingonly about five seconds of real-life time.

Clear Out Your Inventory

Throughout your adventure in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you will amass a vast quantity of crafting materials. These are essential for upgrading weapons, as ingredients for cooking, or for village construction. While maintaining a healthy supply is wise, you'll soon discover that somematerials, such as monster horns or low-quality ores, are so common that you'll never need as much as you accumulate (and obtaining more isalways easy).

These excess materials can quickly clog your storage box, so make sure to check it regularly. Although the individual selling price for some of these materials is low, selling them in bulk (e.g., 50-70 units at a time) can easily net youover 2,000 G. Performing regular inventory clearouts will reveal justhow much money can be made from unused items.

Build Businesses in Every Village

While every building contributes to a village's function or offers buffs, some are far more effective at directly contributing to your income. Specifically, the general store and the various carts you can build will generate "business income" at the end of each day. Although this money isn't directly deposited into your pocket, constructingenough of these businesses can effectively cover the daily cost offeeding your villagers.

This means that any money you earn through the other methods listed becomespure profit, which can then be allocated to upgrading your gear orfurther improving your villages. Once you unlock the monster barn and befriend some beasties, assigning avillager as a tamer will also provide a steady supply of animal produce, adding a nice chunk to your daily income.

Fishing Is a Big Moneymaker in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

Fishing isn't unlocked until you reach the fourth village in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, but it is an extremely profitable activity once available. If yourprimary goal is to grind for money, after tending to your crops andcompleting other daily tasks, dedicating a good portion of your time tofishing can easily earn you several thousand Gold.

Some rare fish, such as tuna, can sell for over 1,000 G each, while more common fish range from 60-300 G. Even by selling just 10 average fish, you can easily earn over 1,500-2,000 G for approximately 10-15 minutes of real-life effort.
