Needless to say, the planets and their bosses are some of the most engaging aspects of Remnant 2. The first order of business whenever some new DLC starts is finding out what the new Archetype and its armament are, and I get pretty hyped. Little did I know this class, N'Erud, would have a partner in crime too.

After racing through the whole Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon map, finally I found the Warden Archetype to showcase it proudly. Of course, I too share the same space as this Archetype in our modern technological world.

How To Unlock the Warden Archetype in Remnant 2 The Dark Horizon



Because of the procedural maps in the game, some things are pretty hard to find. We shall walk you through how to find the new Archetype introduced in Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon - the Warden. Follow the steps written below to go through the maze-like dungeons of this DLC and find its class.

  • To find your way, head down the path to the Withered Necropolis. Once inside the dungeon, head down the path and take the elevator.
  • From there, head straight through past the Checkpoint and out of the "structure."
  • Past that, you'll find The Caretaker near some pods.
  • Go to the right-hand side of the pods and proceed in a straight line.
  • Keep moving in a straight line toward the dark Prism until the next glider is seen.
  • Get on the glider and just fly around the mountain on the right.
  • Keep flying and there will be two air currents where one can flip through; continue to the second one.
  • The second current will take one up into the discovery of a "cave"-like entrance on the right.
  • When you reach the "cave," go through the open door on the left.
  • Go across the bridge and to the other shore. Take care, because you will probably be ambushed by several enemies and a big Aberration.
  • Further into the complex, until you reach a lab. Inside of a small capsule is the Aged Contraption.
  • Head back to Ward 13 and go and speak with Wallace to buy the Command Module.


Another Archetype that has a "companion" is the Warden. What I mean by this is that it is similar to the Handler in many ways. The Warden has a drone companion that can heal, attack, and shield once you've upgraded its level. At first, all it could do was shield with a weak protective barrier. Believe me, this little robot was pretty helpful with the final boss and the Boss Rush. The Warden is actually a pretty fun archetype to add into my stories, especially when combined with Hamdler and my loyal canine. At first, my drone provided me with a shield, while my dog was more about dealing damage or saving my bacon in dangerous situations. It's way better, though, when combined with Invoker for those really big groups of enemies that I need to take down.
