Discover How to add friends in Pokémon TCG Pocket with this excellent and detailed explanatory guide.

Whether a seasoned pro or just wetting your feet, there is really no better way to enjoy the brand than playing Pokémon TCG Pocket with friends. In this step-by-step tutorial, one will learn everything to set up a private match in Pokémon TCG Pocket, adding friends, and where to find your friend code.

Pokémon TCG Pocket: How to add friends

Press the screen's bottom buttons to bring oneself to the tab called Social Hub in Pokémon TCG Pocket. For organizational purposes, the middle button should be to the right of the card tab.

There, notice the bottom left button labeled Friends.

If one has added someone, here will appear the information on the person: username, level, whether he/she is online.

You can also add new friends by tapping the plus sign and person icon on the top right.

When you do so, the page where you can invite friends will appear. In addition to your username and search bar, it displays your Friend ID. Friend IDs are also able to be copied to the clipboard on mobile devices.

Either copy-cut and paste the other person's Friend ID-with no dashes or digits-into this box to invite them, or you can share your Friend ID with them and they can add you on the same screen.

In the Approve section of the Friends screen, you will see a friend request someone sent you by searching your Friend ID.

Head to the Approve section after you leave the Friend ID screen.

You can always view someone's profile before accepting or declining them. If you receive a bunch of unexpected invites, you can bulk decline at the bottom right hand corner.

Getting Started Battles with Friends

Round up your friends and start a Pokémon TCG Pocket battle from the Battle tab. It can be found in the main app menu to the right of the Social Hub, as seen above.

Head to this hub to access the game's single-player modes, battle tutorials, challenges, deck repository, and casual PvP matches.

Regardless of your experience level with the Pokémon Trading Card Game, you're forced to complete the Guide. The nice rewards while going through the tutorial phases are the trainer cards.

In order to play against a friend, all you really need to do is click the Versus button.

Here, you have options to select between a Random Match and a Private Match.

To proceed further, hit on the Private Match option. You will have to set up a password in order to enter that match with your friend. Type it in the box and send it to them.

On this screen, you can select between some pre-made decks and then go and engage your opponent. Each deck you tap will bring up its deck to use.

This interface doesn't provide you with any ability to edit your deck list. To use the Deck option in the main Battle menu, you have to leave the current match, make whatever changes you need, and then enter a Private Match.

That's even the case for superficial changes: you can't change the currency used for flips, nor the sleeves of your cards from the Private Match menu.

Press the Battle button to start the battle once you and your opponent have clarified the password. Prepare your deck. As usual, the match will start with a coin toss, directly engaging in a combat match with your friend.

We hope that the information detailed here on How to add friends in Pokémon TCG Pocket has been very useful for your enjoyment in this incredible game.
