Getting Gimmighoul in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
You can obtain Gimmighoul early in the Mega Dimension DLC by starting the special side quest “Let’s Golden Gooooo!” To trigger this mission, head to Rouge Sector 1, located south of Wild Zone 3 and north of Wild Zone 20. Look for the blue exclamation mark on your map.Here, you’ll meet an NPC named Thelo, who will gift you a level 5 Gimmighoul for free. Accepting this Pokémon also starts Side Mission 122, which requires you to evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo to complete it.Evolving Gimmighoul into GholdengoEvolution for Gimmighoul is unique—it doesn’t evolve by leveling up or using a stone. Instead, you must collect 999 Gimmighoul Coins. While this sounds daunting, Thelo gives you a head start by providing 413 coins when you receive Gimmighoul.Once you gather all 999 coins, the evolution prompt will appear next to Gimmighoul in your menu. Confirm the evolution, and Gimmighoul will transform into Gholdengo, a powerful dual Steel/Ghost-type Pokémon.Farming Gimmighoul Coins Efficiently
Gimmighoul Coins can only be found in Hyperspace Wild Zones—special pocket dimensions scattered throughout Lumiose City. These zones resetdaily, offering fresh opportunities to collect coins.
Inside a Hyperspace Wild Zone, look for sparkling yellow items on the ground. Each one contains a handful of Gimmighoul Coins. On average, players can collect 40–60 coins per zone, so visiting multiple Hyperspace Zones in one play session can speed up the process significantly.
