The world of
Pokémon Legends: Z-A has expanded dramatically with the introduction of the
Mega Dimension DLC, bringing with it an influx of new species to the restructured Lumiose City. Among the highly anticipated additions to the Pokédex is the formidable Water/Bug-type,
Golisopod. However, trainers won't find this armored powerhouse wandering the streets; to obtain Golisopod, you must first capture and evolve its pre-evolution,
Wimpod. The good news is that Wimpod is relatively accessible right from the start of your
Mega Dimension journey, and its evolution requirement is low enough to make adding Golisopod—and eventually its powerful Mega Evolution,
Mega Golisopod—to your team a swift process. This guide details the exact steps to locate and evolve Wimpod, and how to acquire the necessary
Golisopite Mega Evolution Stone.

🎣 Hunting the Wimpod: Hyperspace Dimension Spawns
Wimpod is available right from the initial stages of the
Mega Dimension DLC, primarily spawning within the new
Hyperspace Dimension Wild Zones that appear across Lumiose City.
Step 1: Locating a Wimpod Zone
- Zone Rating: Wimpod will often spawn in the initial, lower-level Wild Zones, meaning you typically only need a one-star Donut (purchased from Ansha) to enter and find one.
- Preview System: Like traditional Wild Zones, the Hyperspace Dimensions provide a visual preview of the Pokémon inside. You should be able to easily spot the distinct silhouette of Wimpod before committing to the zone.
- Resetting Spawns: If you survey the current map and don't see a Dimension containing Wimpod, you can reset the Hyperspace Dimensions by simply resting on a park bench. The available Pokémon within these dimensions change with every day/night cycle, offering you a fresh set of spawns.
Step 2: Entering the Dimension and Capturing
- Once you spot a Wimpod zone, speak to Ansha to craft a Donut matching the star rating, and enter the Hyperspace Dimension.
- Alpha and Shiny Hunting: Inside, you will likely find multiple groups of Wimpod, including theoccasional Alpha variant. If you desire an Alpha Wimpod or wish to huntfor a Shiny, you can reset the spawns within the Dimension itself bymoving far enough away from the Pokémon and returning—just be mindful of your time limit inside the zone!
⏫ Evolution Path: Wimpod to Golisopod
Evolving Wimpod is one of the simpler processes in the Pokémon Legends titles, requiring only a moderate amount of training.
- Evolution Requirement: Wimpod evolves into Golisopod upon reaching Level 30.
- Level Maintenance: Remember that Pokémon levels may be scaled down when they are outsideof the Hyperspace Dimension, so you must actively train your Wimpod tomeet this requirement.
- Final Step: Once Wimpod is at or above Level 30, ensure it is in your active party. Access its profile and select the Evolve option to trigger its transformation into Golisopod.

⭐ Acquiring the Mega Stone: Golisopite
Golisopod's ultimate potential is unlocked through Mega Evolution, transforming it into the powerful Bug/Steel-type Mega Golisopod. To achieve this, you need the exclusive Golisopite Mega Evolution Stone.
The Hyperspace Dimension Battle
The Golisopite stone is acquired by successfully completing a specific, high-level Hyperspace Dimension Battle.
- Zone Rating: The Golisopite stone is obtained through an associated three-star Hyperspace Dimension Battle.
- The Unidentified Stone: Unfortunately, there is no direct way to know which Mega Stone isinside a Dimension until you enter it. You must look for a zone markedwith a question mark icon and a description that mentions an 'Unidentified Mega Stone'.
- The Encounter: This is not a Rogue Mega Evolution Battle. It is a standard Hyperspace Dimension Battle where you will face Mega Golisopod solo. Upon defeating it, you will receive the Golisopite Mega Evolution Stone as a reward.
Troubleshooting the Spawn
If you have difficulty getting the required three-star Hyperspace Dimension Battle to spawn on your map:
- Story Progression: Ensure you have continued to progress through the main story quests of the Mega Dimension DLC, as some high-level encounters may be gated behind narrative milestones.
- Continuous Resetting: Continue to use the park benches to reset the Hyperspace Dimensions with each day/night cycle until the correct "Unidentified Mega Stone" battle appears.
By following these steps, you will quickly secure the necessary Wimpod, evolve it into the formidable Golisopod, and claim the Golisopite tounleash its full Mega Evolution potential upon the Hyperdimensionalthreats of Lumiose City.
