In order to unlock this ability you will first have to obtain Celestica Flute.

Delve into the main story quests until you start "The Forest Lord's Frenzy" in the main questline.

At one point in this quest Mai and Adaman will give you the Celestica flute and when you have it you will be ready to mount the Pokémon. For this you will have to press the ' ' button > select the Pokémon you want to mount > then select mount.

Each mountable Pokemon has slightly different controls, and you'll need to learn this to master riding, and for now at least, there are only three mountable Pokemon:

• Wyrdeer, to move around the land areas of Hisui
• Basculegion, to move through bodies of water
• Hisuian Braviary, to fly through the skies
