The "Resourcefulness Badge" in PEAK is one of the game's more memorable—and disturbing—achievements. This badge is not earned through a challenging climb or a difficult boss fight, but through an act of cannibalism against your own teammates. While the developers initially added the feature as a joke, it has become a unique mechanic with practical, albeit grim, uses, especially in harsh biomes with limited resources.Here's how to unlock the Resourcefulness Badge and what it entails.

How to Unlock the Resourcefulness Badge

Earning this badge requires you to perform a specific, grisly action against a co-op partner.

• Start a Co-op Game: Begin a game with at least one other player.
• Deplete Hunger: Avoid eating any food as you climb. Your hunger level must be so low that it depletes over 75% of your total stamina bar.
• Hallucinate: At this point, your hunger becomes so severe that your teammates willstart to appear as roast chickens when you are close to them. They willrevert to their normal character models when you are at a distance.
• Commit the Act: Once you see a teammate as a roast chicken, simply hold the interact button (E) to consume them.
• Claim Your Badge: The moment you finish eating your teammate, you will be awarded the Resourcefulness Badge.

It's important to note that consuming a teammate will immediately kill them. Only a skeleton of their character will be left behind. However, theycan still be revived using in-game revival mechanics like Altars,Effigies, and Temples.

The Practicality of Cannibalism

While cannibalism was introduced as a humorous feature, it does serve a tactical purpose in certain situations. The Kiln biome, for example, has an extremely hostile environment with no foodresources. If your team runs out of supplies in this volcanic area, aplayer might be forced to make the ultimate sacrifice. By consuming anunconscious teammate, you can completely refill your hunger and staminabars, giving you the strength needed to complete the run when all hopeseems lost. This morbid mechanic turns a joke into a last-ditch survival strategy.
