However, players have discovered a game-breaking exploit that allows you to bypass nearly the entire game in a matter of minutes. This glitch has become a popular method for players to speedrun the game and quickly earn various badges, including the challenging Speed Climber Badge.This guide will explain how the Scout Cannon glitch works and provide a step-by-step walkthrough to execute it successfully.

Understanding the Glitch

The Scout Cannon glitch relies on an unintended interaction between the cannon's launch mechanics and the "Play Dead" emote. By placing an item in the cannon first and then entering it while spamming the emote, a player's momentum is not slowed by the game's physics, allowing them to fly far beyond the intended distance.This exploit is most effectively used from the very beginning of a run to skip all levels and land directly at the peak.

Step-by-Step Guide to the Scout Cannon Speedrun

To execute this glitch, you will need to restart a new run until you find the required items at the very start of the game.

Restart Until You Find the Cannon: Begin a new round on the Shore. Immediately check the luggage,especially the large white suitcase, at the starting area. The ScoutCannon has a random chance to spawn here. If it does not appear, restart the round and try again until you find it.

Gather Your Gear: Once you have the Scout Cannon, you will also need a Backpack and a Flare. Both of these can be found in the wreckage of the airplane at thestarting point. The Backpack is essential for the glitch to work, andthe Flare is needed to signal for rescue at the end.

Set Up the Shot: Carry the Scout Cannon and Backpack to a relatively flat, open area onthe Shore, aiming towards the mountain's peak. Use your mouse scrollwheel to adjust the angle of the cannon. The community has found thataiming at the highest possible angle and then scrolling down three ticks provides the perfect trajectory.

Load and Launch:

• Carefully place the Backpack inside the Scout Cannon. This can be tricky, as youmight accidentally climb in yourself. Try to place it in from the side.
• With the Backpack inside, light the fuse on the back of the cannon.
• Immediately jump into the cannon yourself before it fires.

Spam the "Play Dead" Emote: This is the most crucial part of the exploit. As soon as the Scout Cannon launches you, hold the "Emote Wheel" key (default R) and repeatedly select the "Play Dead" emote. You must continuously spam this emote to maintain the ragdoll state and prevent your momentum from stopping. If you stop emoting or select a different emote, you willlose your momentum and fall.

Signal for Rescue: If done correctly, you will soar high over all the game's biomes. When you see the "Peak" title card appear on the screen and hear the distinctive "Peak" music,stop spamming the emote. This will cause your momentum to cease. Whilefalling, quickly equip your Flare and light it.

Final Landing: As you continue to fall, a helicopter will arrive to pick you up. Ifyou successfully landed the fall without taking fatal damage and lit the flare, the helicopter will save you, and you will have successfullycompleted the game.
