One of the most important permanent rewards that can be unlocked in the PoE 2 campaign is the Sacrificial Heart. It's a bit of a shortcut toward picking up a little extra power, but as with many elements in this game, figuring out exactly how to use it can be a bit confusing.
How to Use the Sacrificial Heart in Path of Exile 2?
The Sacrificial Heart is an effective quest item that players can use in a ritual to receive a few valuable passive points easily. For that, you'll have to head over to Aggorat in Act 3. This is the second last zone that opens only after the players activate the portal in the Ziggurat Encampment.
When you finally arrive in Aggorat, get ready to fight your way through hordes of relentless Vaal fighters in search of a giant stone altar, which will be well-guarded by an elite monster and his minions. As usual, a checkpoint will be close by to help you find it. After defeating the monsters, take the Sacrificial Dagger that's nearby and place the heart on the altar. Interact with it, and your character will cut the heart open, netting you some extra skill points in the process.
Find the Sacrificial Heart
If you're wondering how to get the Sacrificial Heart, know that it is a random drop from enemies in 400 BiC Utzaal and Aggorat, just like the relics required for the Ancient Vows quest in PoE 2. It may take some time to get it, but once you do, head straight to the location marked above to use it. Keep in mind that empty instances reset every 8 to 15 minutes. If you find the stone altar, you want to stick with that instance of the map for some time because you will have to search again after the instance has reset.
Starting the Quest Through Aggorat at Cruel Difficulty
After killing the boss of Act 3, the portal from 400 BiC to the Ziggurat Encampment will take you back, effortlessly, to the very start of Act 1 on Cruel. You can bypass the fighting-through-to-Act-3 Cruel with Sacrificial Heart: go to a waypoint and tele out to Aggorat in Act 3 Normal.
