Approaching level 55
Level 55 is the new max level cap in the Palworld Sakurajima update, and you'll want to reach it before even thinking about taking on the Oil Rig because all of the enemies on board will be at that level. However, high-level weaponry in the tech tree at that level will be very beneficial. Similarly, all your friends should be level 55 and ideally reinforced with Pal Souls into a statue of power.
Bring some flying friends with you.
While you may only have one flying friend in your party who enjoys flying (ideally a very fast Jetragon), you'll want to bring more to get to the oil rig. Two very powerful and annoyingly accurate anti-aircraft lasers are located on the oil platform. If your friend is very fast, you may be able to outrun him, but it's best to carry a spare steering wheel for when the main one arrives. KO for the lamps.
Eliminate automated defenses.
After clearing these barriers, get on the ship and shut them down as quickly as possible. On all platforms, you can interact with a dashboard. In the future, it will be much easier to return to the platform, especially if you die while attacking the fortress.
Brings a lot of energy.
Carry plenty of ammo because this can be a long siege and you will have to eliminate many enemies. To be safe, make double the amount you think you made for the trip. Bring one of Dogen or a Homeward Thundercloud to teleport back to your base, whether to save yourself the trouble of flying all the way back or if you need to escape quickly. Dogen can do this with his special ability, while in Palworld a Homecoming Storm Cloud can be created with a Dazzi Cloud, Ancient Civilization Items, and an Electric Organ.
Look for the loot chest.
There is only one large loot chest in the Oil Rig, but it is found randomly. But it should be your only priority once on board because it's the only loot you'll get in this adventure (aside from what enemies drop). Although the exact prize he will give you will be determined by chance, he will always choose five things that fall into these categories:
- A large volume of crude oil
- some centers of ancient cultures
- a large amount of random ammo of different types.
- a casual number
- A plan for a firearm that arrived late.
This chest respawns at the same rate as boss Pals around the world, so you can return to it frequently to get more money; however, it will be in a different location each time.
