The main entrance to the N-Ray Range is locked tight, forcing you to find a more discreet way inside.

1. The Backdoor Entry

• Go Right: Start at the sealed main entrance of the N-Ray Range. Instead of attempting the front door, head toward the smaller building to the right of the main structure.
• The Hatch: Once inside this smaller building, look down. You’ll find a hatch in the floor—this is your unconventional entry point into the facility.

2. Navigating the Vents

• Go Left: Drop down through the hatch. Exit the first room via the left-hand door.
• Purple Lights: Take an immediate left again and proceed down a distinctively purplish-lit hallway.
• The First Vent: You'll spot a vent here that leads directly into the switch puzzle room. You can enter the room to observe the challenge, noting the Electrical System Notice above the switches. This sign is your first clue, warning that no more than three switches can be active at once or the system will reset. Crucially, without theN-Ray Scanner, you can’t tell which switches are connected.

3. Locating Exemplar Foxworth (Optional)

• Exit the Puzzle Room: Leave the switch room and head right from the purple lights. You’ll soon encounter Exemplar Foxworth.
• Side Quest Opportunity: While talking to Foxworth is optional, it's highly recommended, as it will unlock the “Discrete Mathematics” side quest, adding more content and potential rewards to your playthrough.

4. Claiming the Scanner

• The Second Vent: Enter the room where Foxworth is located. Look for a vent on the opposite wall from where you entered. This is the path to the scanner.
• The Electric Trap: Drop into the vent. You will have to navigate a short run where a spinning purple electricity field is a hazard. Time your movement and run straight when the electricity spins away from you to avoid damage.
• The Final Stretch: Fall down at the end of the vent. Turn left and proceed through a half-opened shutter door. Turn right into the adjacent room.
• The Prize: There, on a table, you will find the N-Ray Scanner. This device is the key to the puzzle, allowing you to see concealed wiring, enemy silhouettes, and other vital hidden information.

Part 2: Solving the Switch Puzzle with the Scanner

With the N-Ray Scanner in hand, the puzzle transforms from guesswork into a straightforward electrical check.

Return to the Puzzle Room: Go back to the switch puzzle room where you first saw the switches and the warning notice.

Scan the Wires: Activate the N-Ray Scanner. Use it to inspect the switches and the wires running behind them.

Identify the Circuit: The scanner will highlight the hidden connections, revealing that only one series connects exactly three switches in a group. This is the specific circuit you need to activate to avoid the system reset.

Activate the Sequence: Once you have identified the three connected switches, flip them in the following order:

• Second Row – First Switch
• First Row – Second Switch
• Second Row – Fourth Switch

Flipping these three switches in this precise order activates the correctcircuit and successfully powers up the next section of the N-Ray Range.The door will now open, allowing you to proceed deeper into the facility and continue your mission to locate Victor Clemens.
