This time we are back with a guide with the aim of explaining to you How To Unlock The LEA Research Lab in Once Human.
LEA Research Lab is the most demanding dungeon to date in Once Human, offering quite a challenge, almost raid-like, with mechanics unique to it and unlike anything else game-wide. A lot of fun, but very demanding.
For those players who want to truly stress test their builds or farm weapon mods, LEA Research Lab represents a final word in endgame challenge. This, however, is a level 60 endgame activity inaccessible to those not yet at this threshold. If you don't know why you can't enter yet, here's what you need to know about unlocking the LEA Research Lab in Once Human.
Once Human: How To Unlock The LEA Research Lab
To be able to go into the LEA Research Lab, your character must reach Phase 4. This is actually one of the dungeons that lie in the main story, so many players will pass by it, even though at that time it isn't accessible. Since Once Human is seasonal, its players may have to wait until Phase 4 comes with the next season.
While the pursuit to enter the LEA Research Lab typically comes later in Mary's questline, there is no need to progress that far. As long as a player is at least level 50 and has the skill and build to manage it, they can just attempt to enter. If the game refuses to allow them access, they might need to defeat the Forsaken Giant boss.
Essentially, LEA Research Lab is a more advanced version of a Securement Silo with special mechanics that require adjustment. One can't simply dash through encounters; the mechanics of the dungeon have to be learned in order to advance. Fortunately, the encounters themselves aren't especially complex; they may give pause to those less familiar with the specific dungeon dynamics, however.
The difficulties in the LEA Research Lab lie not only in its unique mechanics but also in its layout and design in general. Here, players will go through various sections, each of which may contain certain particular hazards and obstacles. All these challenges seem quite intimidating to people entering this dungeon for the first time or when not well-equipped. The rewards will be large, however, for those who can overcome these challenges. LEA Research Lab offers very valuable loot and experience, with the fun of running a hard but rewarding dungeon.
Mechanics
There are two major mechanics introduced in this dungeon that are critical for progression.
Securement Containers and Deviant Containment
- Red and Blue Containers: Manifesting aspects of fire and ice respectively.
- Glutton Deviants: These mobs are distinguished by identical red or blue shields.
- Containment Strategy: Players must kill the Glutton Deviants while placing themselves near the associated Securement Container. Upon death, the Deviant will get teleported into said container.
- Occurrence: This mechanic occurs in the intro of the dungeon and in both boss fights.
Stardust Orbs and Spore Destruction
- Stardust Orbs: Droplets from defeated Disciple Deviants.
- Spore Clusters: Available in certain encounters in clusters.
- Destructible Method: Gather the Stardust Orbs and smash them on the nearby Spore Clusters to destroy them.
- Appearances: This game mechanic occurs during the final boss battle and the fight right before. During the final boss, it is mixed with the game mechanic of Securement Container.
So we come to the end of this explanatory guide, now you know How To Unlock The LEA Research Lab in Once Human, just do it and enjoy it to the fullest.
