Once Human allows players to control the looks of their character as never before. With a deep customization system, shape every single detail about your Metahuman—from the minutest detail of the curvature of your nose to the precise shade of color for your eyes. This level of detail has been known to suck people in for hours in search of the perfect avatar.

Although character creation can be fun, it is certainly overwhelming. For those who want to play right away, or to make the same look across different servers, Once Human uses one solution: import by QR code.

How to Save Your Character

Create Your Avatar: You may spend as much time as you want to get the perfect look.
Save as QR Code: Once happy, tap the "Share" button in the top right corner of the character creation screen. This will then generate a unique QR code which captures the appearance of your character.
Download Image: Save the image containing the QR code onto your device for later use.

How To Import Your Character in Once Human?

Access Import Menu: In the character creation screen, to the left of the "Share" button can be found an "Import" icon.
Upload QR Code: Use the "+" sign to upload the image that contains your character's QR code.
Make New: The imported character has default stats and progress.

Tips

Community-made Creations: You'll find some awesome community-made designs online courtesy of places such as Reddit and its r/NewHorizon communities, or even Discord.
Character Limitation: At this point, only the character appearance is imported, not the stats, progress, and achievements.
No Character Deletion: Characters, once created, cannot be deleted. Changes can only be made by recreating the character.

While this character import system is a helpful feature, it's imperative to keep in mind that it simply imports appearances. For users who would like to keep some progress or specific characters, this can become quite the deterrent. As the game further progresses, players are left hoping for updates that would expand the import system.
