• Your First Loot: Before you charge ahead, find Chest #1 tucked behind a tarp-covered object at the bottom of some stairs. Your reward? A Crimson Blood Balm to keep you in the fight.
• A Power-Up Awaits: As you progress, you'll hit a door with a metal screen. Resist the urge to go through! Instead, scoot left along the wall to discover Chest #2 containing a Senjin War Brew for a tasty, temporary attack boost.
• Wall-Run Secrets: The path ahead requires some acrobatic wall-running. After your first double wall-run, keep your eyes peeled for a suspicious stack of crates. Smash them to reveal an alcove with Chest #3 and a precious Life Elixir.

Mastering Your Base: The DarkNest Terminal Unlocked

Shortly after, you’ll discover the DarkNest Terminal, your lifeline in Ninja Gaiden 4. This hub is where your journey truly expands.

• Claim Your Bonuses: Head straight to the "Receive Content" menu to add all your Deluxe Edition and Pre-Order items directly to your inventory.
• Grab These Essential Missions: The terminal’s Mission Database is your key to extra resources. We highly grabbing these early quests:
  • Execute the DDO Distribution Officers (Reward: 2500 NinjaCoin)

• The Daemon Shrine & A Critical Choice: An elevator ride later, the world twists into a eerie, flame-licked corridor. Smash crates here to find Chest #6 with an Incense of Rebirth. You’ll then emerge into a large area dominated by the Daemon Shrine.
  • Turn Right: This path leads to the DDO Officers from your mission. Take them out for a quick reward.
  • Turn Left: This continues the main story. Along this narrow path, you’ll find Chest #7 (Life Elixir) and, after a skirmish, Chest #8 (another Incense of Rebirth).

Becoming a Weapon Master and Finding Hidden Treasures

The next big fight unlocks a game-changing system: Weapon Skills. These are separate from Combat Skills and are powered by Weapon EXP earned through stylish combat. Choose your first upgrades wisely!

Right after this tutorial, stay sharp for a hidden secret. On the large pipeyou must traverse, look for a bend that seems to lead into nothingness. A hidden ladder is there! Climb down and go left to score Chests #9 & #10, holding a Life Elixir and a Kongou Iron Brew (defense boost).

Advanced Tactics: Grapples, Challenges, and Accessories

Back on the main path, you’ll find the second DarkNest Terminal. Here, Umi grants you the Caddis Wire, your new grappling hook for crossing vast chasms.

• Report Missions & Unlock More: This is the perfect time to turn in completed quests. Doing so oftenunlocks new ones, like "Use Takeminkata to defeat 50 enemies."
• Discover Purgatory: After crossing two chasms with your new Caddis Wire, look left before progressing. You’ll find the first Purgatory Gate, offering brutal challenges in exchange for great rewards (at the cost of some health).
• Gourdy Hunting Made Easy: After that second chasm, turn left instead of going forward. You’ll find the elusive Gourdy hiding by some crates. Capture it by correctly inputting the button sequence.
• Your First Accessory: Later, after navigating past drones and cargo containers, venture awayfrom the main destination marker. A hidden corridor holds Chest #11 with the Cobalt Ring, a vital defensive accessory. Equip it immediately before the ambush!

Endgame Prep: Data Chips and Berserker Rage

After meeting Tyran and visiting the third DarkNest Terminal (turn in that Gourdy!), you’ll reach a large, enemy-patrolled courtyard.

• The Data Chip Haul: Clear the area to freely explore. You’ll find:
  • Chest #12: Crimson Blood Pellets
  • Chests #13, #14, #15: A triple-threat of elixirs in a container alcove.
  • The Data Chip: Sitting on the ground to the left of the three chests. Grabbing thiscompletes your mission and earns you a Phantasmal Herb, crucial forupgrading your max health.
• More Hidden Loot: Scale the container near Chest #15 and head to the lit platform. Slide under or go around to get Chest #16 (Divine Life Elixir). Then, climb the adjacent ladder to claim Chests #17 & #18 at the top.

The final courtyard triggers the devastating Berserk State, allowing you to unleash "Bloodbath Kills." After cleansing the area, you’ll find Tyran and the fourth DarkNest Terminal for final upgrades and mission turn-ins.

Before the chapter's climax, don't miss Chest #19 at the top of a set of steps for a final Divine Life Elixir. You arenow fully prepared to face whatever endboss awaits and emerge victorious from Chapter 1.
