Making a chest in Minecraft is simple, but you’ll need a few items to get started. First, you’ll need to collect Wood from a nearby tree and bring it to the Crafting Table. Then, you’ll need to drag the Wood into the Crafting Screen and craft as many pieces of Wood Planks as you need. Once you have 4 pieces of Wood Planks, you’ll need to drag them into the crafting segment near your character and create a Crafting Table.

Once you’ve opened your Crafting Table, you’ll need to look for the Chest recipe. To craft a regular chest, you’ll need 8 pieces of the same type of Wood Planks, while a large chest requires 8 pieces of the same kind of Wood Planks. For the rarer Dark Oak variety, you will need to craft a Shulker Box instead.

Once you have crafted your Chest, you’ll need to place it in your world. Depending on the edition, you may also be able to craft a Trapped Chest, which can be used to store items safely, or a Bedrock Edition double chest which can store up to 54 items.

Crafting a chest in Minecraft is a simple process, but an important one for those who want to store items or tools safely. With this guide, you’ll be able to craft a regular chest, a large chest, a double chest or a Shulker Box in no time.
