How to Craft a Lectern in Minecraft

Lecterns are a type of block that can be used in Minecraft to display books and other items. Once placed, Lecterns can be used to store up to nine items and are available in multiple different designs. The Lectern has a unique animation that plays when an item is placed or removed from the block.

Crafting a Lectern in Minecraft is relatively simple. To craft one, you will need four wooden Slabs and one Bookshelf. Slabs can be made by placing three wooden Planks in a row on the crafting grid, providing six Slabs. A Bookshelf requires six Planks and three Books. These Books can be made from Paper, which is produced using Sugar Cane, as well as Leather, which is obtained from Cows.

Alternatively, Minecraft content creator RajCraft mentions that Lecterns can also be found naturally in Village Libraries or at the center of Ancient Cities. If collecting Sugar Cane for Paper is too challenging, obtaining a Lectern from a Village is a convenient option.
