Metaphor ReFantazio is the latest JRPG on offer, whisking gamers away to the fictional United Kingdom of Euchronia. There is a long campaign mode, complete with boss fights and side quests galore. Your lead character can even befriend and get closer to some of his other characters in order to unlock a slew of bonus perks.

Maria is one such figure. Maria, being of the line of Grius, is of mixed Ishkia and Rhoag descent. Because she is from the Healer lineage and also one of the first Bonds a player can have in the game, there are added advantages for the players in great quantities.

How to unlock Maria in Metaphor ReFantazio?

Reach the Hushed Honeybee Inn by 6/10. Maria will be waiting for you downstairs once free roam is available. To activate the Bond, approach Maria and initiate a conversation with her. Once the initial conversation is over, she will get upgraded to Bond Level 1. To upgrade, the Tolerance Level of the character has to be increased step by step up to Level 4.

Maria can unlock conditions as she levels up.

First place: Talk to Maria on June 10.: After the Tree of Prophecy quest on 6/29, talk to Maria to continue to rank 2. Must have Tolerance leveled up to 2.
Third place: On 7/5, any time of the day, talk to Maria. Give her Sunsands painting since that's what she appears to need.
Rank 4: On 7/9 after Kriegante Castle, talk to Maria during the day.
Position 5: After acquiring City Ruins drawing, speak to Maria during the day.
Give Maria the Peregrine Falls artwork acquired on 7/23. Rank 6
Rank 7: Level 4 Tolerance Upgrade - speak with Maria.
To get Rank 8 all you must do is wait at least a day then talk to her during the day.

Maria Bond ReFantazio Mastery of Metaphor

Level 1: The Healer Archetype has been unlocked; the party can then study it.
Second-Rate: Healer Enlightenment: reduces MAG cost for studying the Healer Legacy.
When the party finally unlocked Rank 3 of Healer Archetype Adept, they were able to study the Cleric. Also, Scion Skill (Healer) can be unlocked; it extends Healer's Skill Inheritance Slots to 2.
Rank 41: Purpose-increases experience after battle. You can also cook in the runner's kitchen with no loss of time, as Speed Cooking is now unlocked.
Rank 5: Healer Veneration-receives a reduced MAG cost when studying the Healer lineage.
Level 6-Scion's Merit-triples the amount of skill inheritance slots available to the Healer Lineage.
Besides the fact that Burning Purpose vastly improves experience gained post-combat at Rank 7, there's also Chef's Chops in Runner's Kitchen, which unlocks an additional dish.
At level 8, access to the Healer Archetype is made available and grants the group the ability to study the Saviour. The Healer Lineage also adds four skill inheritance slots as a bonus since Scion's Essence has been unlocked.
