Helldivers 2 is growing with new factions, lots of different guns, and some pretty cool warbonds to find. Its PC version has not particularly evolved, though. For now, it does not support any upscaling technology, neither DLSS nor FSR 3, while performance is all across the board. Players are also experiencing a stuttering camera in Helldivers 2 when moving the mouse while using the keyboard and mouse. Well, not to worry, here is how you can fix the camera stutter issue on your PC.

How to Fix the Helldivers 2 Mouse Camera Stutter on PC?

No matter what kind of framerate you're using, Helldivers 2 shows noticeable stutter when using a mouse to move your camera around. It gets annoyingly obvious during play and most of all during some combat moments. No matter if you cap your framerate in this or that way, the issue is always here and it completely disappears once you start using a controller. Currently, the only possible workaround is enabling "Mouse Smoothing." Far from perfect, it works much better than default stutter.

Discover the steps to achieve this on the PC version:

Navigate to the options in the pause menu and choose the “Mouse & Keyboard” submenu.
At the bottom, activate the “Mouse Smoothing” option. Feel free to maintain the “Mouse Acceleration” setting at 0.

While not immediately apparent from this 60 FPS video, the difference is quite pronounced during gameplay. While far from perfect, mouse smoothing presents fewer problems compared to the persistent camera stutter that occurs when this setting is turned off.

After fiddling around with many configurations both in-game and out, I can confidently say this is the only solution that will fix stutter for the time being. This really is something that Arrowhead Studios needs to take care of because it is very disheartening to see even higher frame rates show such jitteriness with a mouse.
