Where to Find Frostbitten Key in Grounded 2

In Grounded 2, the backyard is full of secrets, and some of the most intriguing are found in the specialized, high-difficulty biomes. The Ice Cream Cart region is a prime example, offering valuable rewards for players brave enough to face its treacherous chill and dangerous inhabitants. This guide will walk you through the steps to find both the Frostbitten Key and the Frostbitten Chest to claim your prize.

Preparing for the Ice Cream Cart

Before you venture into the frozen territory of the Ice Cream Cart, you must be properly equipped to handle the extreme cold and the hostile wildlife.

• Chill Reduction: You will need armor with chill reduction properties to avoid freezing up. The Fuzzy set is highly recommended, as it provides a significant amount of chill reduction.
• Spicy Safety Mutation: Activate the Spicy Safety Mutation to further protect yourself from the chill and potential elemental damage.
• Tier 2 Omni-Shovel: To get the chest, you will need a shovel capable of digging up buried treasure. The Tier 2 Omni-Shovel is the minimum requirement for this task.
• Healing and Buffs: Bring plenty of healing items and consider using a Blazin' Brew smoothie for added warmth. Holding a torch can also help slow the rate at which you freeze.

Where to Find the Frostbitten Key

The Frostbitten Key is located inside the Ice Cream Cart itself.

Locate the Ice Cream Cart: Head to the Ice Cream Cart region, which is southeast of the Snackbar Front.

Enter the Cart: Instead of entering through the main opening at the base of the cart, climb onto the side of it and enter from the top.

Find the Body: Inside, navigate through the cone pillars. Head right and follow the path that goes around a cone to an upper section of the area. Be prepared to fight a few scorpions here.

Claim the Key: After dealing with the scorpions, you will find a body on a pile of pink ice cream at the back of the area. The Frostbitten Key and a missing optical disk will be on the ground next to it.

The Frostbitten Chest Location

The chest is a bit more hidden and requires you to solve a small environmental puzzle.

Cross the Metal Bar: Once you have the key, return to the entrance area. Look for a metalbar that bridges the gap between a mound of ice cream and a smallopening. Go up the ice cream packs and walk across the metal bar.

Enter the Fan Room: This will lead you into a room with a frozen fan. You'll likely encounter a scorpion here.

Break the Ice: Break the ice that is holding the gears underneath the fan in place. This will cause the fan blades to rotate.

Access the Hidden Path: The rotating fan will allow you to jump into a hidden path beneath it.Follow this icy pathway until you arrive in a large, open area.

Find the Dig Spot: In this area, you'll see a unique set of dual blades (Ice Sickles)trapped in the ice, but don't grab them just yet. Go underneath thebanana peels nearby, and you will spot a sparkle on the ground.

Dig Up the Chest: Use your Tier 2 Omni-Shovel to dig at the sparkling spot. This will unearth the Frostbitten Chest.

Claim Your Reward: Use the Frostbitten Key to open the chest. Inside, you will find two Mint Globs, a rare material needed to craft a duplicate of the legendary Ice Sickles dual blades.
