The goal of
Google Stadia Cloud Gaming Service, is to unite games of playing, spectator and development in a single platform, like
Assassin's Creed Odyssey on YouTube and then begin to reproduce it through the transmission almost intact.
Updates, game patches and system requirements are nothing to worry about, because the game runs on
Google servers and not on the local device.
Phil Harrison, vice president of
Google, said
Google Stadia Cloud Gaming Service will work on desktop computers, laptops, televisions, tablets and phones.
During the event we could see how the service worked on Chromebook, smartphone, tablet and TV, on TV using a Chromecast Ultra HDMI transmitter and we could see it at a resolution quality of 4K to 60 FPS with surround sound and HDR support. But Google expects to support an 8K resolution and frame rates of up to 120 FPS, and encompass the multiplatform game.
You can use the existing drivers, but
Google also offers its own driver which can be linked to the game team and has a button for the
Google Assistant that will be very helpful in case of doubt.
Google also announced that they had partnered with
Unreal and Unity for development and middleware developers such as Havok. Marty Stratton of Id Software, this fuels the possibility that
Doom Eternal arrives in Stadia.
According to the ads, they are also working on the creation of their own studio, "Stadia Games and Entertainment," which will be headed by the former studio head of Ubisoft and EA, Jade Raymond.
Among the characteristics of Stadia, there is "State Share" with which you can create moments for your friends or spectators to learn from your own state in a game.
"Crowd Play" will allow the viewers of a broadcast to join the queue to join the multiplayer game.
Google had announced last year that it was calling attention to the transmission of video games in the cloud by partnering with Ubisoft for Project Stream.
