DDR6 RAM and DDR5 memory News: Release date and more - Ultimate Guide

Kim Dong-kyun assured the following, "We are discussing various concepts of DDR5 memory," adding, "One concept is to maintain the current trend of increasing the speed of data transmission, and another is to combine DRAM technology with other technological processes, like the system-on-chip ". Recall that last year, SK Hynix already had ready a prototype DDR5 DRAM with a total capacity of 16 Gb, running at a frequency of 5,200 MHz with just 1.1 volts. So a 64-bit module made with these chips could offer bandwidths of 41.6 GB/s. In addition, the researcher has stated that they are working on the DDR6 PC memories, in order to double the bandwidth of the DDR5 itself.

With the development of DDR5 and DDR6 ram memory, SK Hynix has confirmed that the possibility of unifying designs with next generation SoCs, as well as everything related to consumption and working frequencies, be considered.
