This guide shows you the ropes on how to obtain the Flare Knife and use it like a pro against Abductors in Freedom Wars Remastered.
How To Use Flare Knife in Freedom Wars Remastered?
One of the early weapons that can be unlocked by players is the Flare Knife. Once players have attained Level 003 Code Clearance, head to Zakka in The Warren. The Flare Knife is one of the many weapons and fighting accessories available for purchase from Zakka, for 3,000 Entitlement Points.
Launch Personal Responsibility Portal and head into the Loadout menu, equipping the Flare Knife in one of the Combat Item slots. If you have the Flare Knife in your inventory, you'll be able to equip it and take it into battle.
Remastered: Flare Knife Techniques for Freedom Wars
As stated, the Flare Knife is reusable for cutting up Abductor pieces, meaning a player would never have to use Light Melee weapons ever again for said activity if they'd rather be using Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons. You will unfortunately have to buy a new one before your next Operation.
Use your Thorn to hook yourself onto the Abductor's severable part, then hold onto it using the Flare Knife. The Sever option appears when the Flare Knife is in the active slot. A brief QTE then ensues as you have to press a highlighted button. Successfully emptying the bar will allow you to sever the part. However, be very careful because he can jump or crash against a wall to interrupt you.
You can make severing the Abductor easier when playing online with friends by snagging him a couple of times.
