For fans of Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic, reaching the highly anticipated puppet show finale requires more than just showing up. It involves a series of intricate challenges, from locating scattered suit components to solving complex environmental puzzles. This comprehensive guide will walk you through each step, ensuring you're fully prepared for the grand performance.
Before you can even think about the main stage, your primary objective is to fully restore Captain Springlock's suit. This critical first phase involves meticulously searching the workshop for five distinct missing pieces.
Right Arm Acquisition: Upon exiting the assembly area, take a left into the spare parts room. Look along the wall to find the right arm, suspended by chains. Once you've secured it, your movement will be restricted, so proceed slowly and carefully back to the assembly area to attach it.
Right Leg Retrieval: Return to the spare parts room. This time, turn right and approach the staircase. Just before reaching it, glance to your left; the right leg should be waiting there. Grab it and head directly back to the assembly room for attachment.
Head Hunt (with a Twist): Head back into the spare parts room and ascend the stairs on your left to reach the upper level. The Captain's head will be hanging from the ceiling. Locate the lever on the opposite side of the upper platform and activate it to lower the head. Be cautious, as this action might attract an animatronic. If pursued, quickly find refuge in a nearby locker or use a wind-up mouse toy to create a diversion. Once safe, descend and retrieve the head from its new position. Return to the suit for attachment.
Left Leg Location: With the head in place, two parts remain. From the upper level where you found the head, turn right and follow the catwalk. Take the next left and enter a room with a closed shutter. Use the adjacent lever to open it. Crucially, before grabbing the left leg, use the second lever to unlock the caged door directly in front of you. With both doors open, pick up the leg and return to the assembly room.
Left Arm Finalization: Go back to the same room where you found the left leg, the one with the caged door. The left arm will be there. Once you have it, make your way back to the assembly area and attach the final piece to complete Captain Springlock's suit.
With Captain Springlock's suit fully assembled, you're ready for the next crucial steps towards the puppet show.
Activating the Suit: From the assembly area, enter the control room to your immediate left. Interact with the terminal inside and select "Energize Springlock" to bring the suit to life.
Donning the Captain's Attire: Head to the assembly platform and interact with the suit to put it on. Once you're suited up, step onto the platform directly across from you, marked with yellow footprints. This will elevate you to the Demonstration Theatre.
Navigating the Backstage: Proceed through the backstage area. Expect a jumpscare from a Sharpay animatronic as you round a corner; however, it will perceive you as another animatronic, so you're safe. Continue through the next room until you spot an open vent. Remove the Springlock Suit and crawl through the vent to reach the theater's power room.
Now that you've reached the power room, a series of mind-bending puzzles stand between you and the puppet show.
This puzzle challenges you to rotate hexagon tiles to create a connected pipe path, leading to the port in the bottom-left corner. A timer adds pressure; if the tank overflows before you complete the circuit, the puzzle will reset. Focus on creating a direct and efficient flow. Once successful, power will be restored to this section of Murray’s Costume Manor.
After restoring power, locate the ramp on the right. Ascend the ramp, drop down, and crawl through the narrow space to exit. Remember, you're no longer protected by the suit, so carefully make your way back to it, avoiding the Sharpay animatronic. Once back in the suit, take the next platform lift, located across from where you entered, to ascend to the next area.
The backstage area, situated directly beneath the theater, presents its own set of challenges. You'll notice a large hole in the floor. Exit the Springlock Suit and navigate through the vent to reach the other side. Turn left and crawl under the debris blocking the stairs. Continue towards the back, and the lights will flicker. (Optional: Check the nearby filing cabinet labeled "film" to find a Film Reel, which can be taken to the Inventory machine in the starting office).
To progress, use the lift in the back-left corner. Upstairs, you'll enter a catwalk area. Here, you'll need to utilize a magnetized crane to strategically move walkway pieces, forming a path to cross.
This puzzle focuses on constructing a bridge using the magnet crane. There are 12 squares in total, but only four movable bridge pieces. Your goal is to move and place these four pieces on the far right side, creating a complete and safe path. Once the bridge is in place, cross over and head left along the catwalk. You'll discover a crank connected to a long chain; another identical crank is on the opposite side. These two cranks support the main bridge in the center of the room.
To make the area accessible for your Springlock Suit, you must lower this bridge. First, turn both cranks. Then, take the nearby lift back down to the lower level and re-enter your Springlock Suit. Once suited up, use the suit's cannon to target and shoot the chain holding up the bridge, causing it to drop. Now, walk across the lowered bridge and step onto the Springlock lift ahead.
The lift will transport you to the main stage for the puppet show, where you assume the role of the Captain. As the performance unfolds, bullseye targets will appear. To appease the audience, aim for the green targets. Hitting too many red ones will displease the crowd, resulting in a game-ending jumpscare from a puppet. Continue playing through this shooting mini-game until chaos ultimately ensues.
