How to get Shards in Fields of Mistria
Items Needed:
- Shovel: A shovel is required in order to dig up shards. One can be purchased from the General Store for 500 Tesserae in the form of a Worn Shovel.
Best Area
- Western Ruins: With the most number of Shards, the Western Ruins lie west of the Narrows. Journey south through the ruins until you reach an archeological site. An excavation site marked by the presence of a dig site is going to distinguish it.
How to Excavate:
- Digging: Using the shovel on the marked dig site will give you Shards. This is not guaranteed; instead, it has a high chance of getting one and other items may be received in its place.
Respawn Rate:
- Daily Respawn: Every day, a new dig site spawns in the Western Ruins. Return there daily to get continuous collection of Shards.
Maximizing Yield:
- Western Ruins Scholar Perk: Unlocks the Western Ruins Scholar perk from Caldarus, the dragon statue, spawning an extra dig site within the ruins and maximizing your potential Shard collection.
Potential Locations:
- Dig Sites: With the Western Ruins being the most reliable, Shards could also be found at other areas with dig sites, such as mines.
Crafting Uses:
- Crafting Material: Shards are a component to craft, in addition to the Shards Request.
Resource Management:
