Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.0 introduces a new equipment slot: Facewear. This slot allows players to equip glasses and other facial clothing without sacrificing glamour or equipment slot from other slots. This guide provides a technical and formal description of the unlocking and wearing process.
Acquiring "The Faces We Wear": To unlock, players must obtain one of four items called "The Faces We Wear". These items can be obtained in two ways:
Exchanging with Calamity Salvager: Players who have already unlocked glasses accessories in the past can exchange them for Facewear with a Calamity Salvager NPC in Ul'dah, Limsa Lominsa, or Gridania.Purchase from Gold Saucer: Players can purchase “The Faces We Wear” for MGP from the Prize Claim NPC in the Gold Saucer (X: 5.1, Y: 6.6). Current prices are:

- The Faces We Wear – Thick-Rim Glasses: 30,000 MGP

Equipping Facewear
Once a Facewear item has been obtained, players can equip it on the character screen. The Facewear slot is located below the foot slot.
Additional Considerations
- Facewear is a permanent addition to the FFXIV equipment system.

- Facewear does not affect the character's stats.
- Facewear is visible to other players.
