In Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, your journey as a customizable hero is defined by the "Lives" you choose to lead. While 12 of the 14 available Lives are accessible from the start, you'll quickly notice that the Farmer and Artist Lives are initially locked. This isn't an oversight, but rather a deliberate design choice, intertwining their unlocking with specific main story quests that lead you to hidden islands in the past.Unlocking these two specialized Lives is a significant process deeply connected to the main narrative. To gain access to the Farmer and Artist, your primary focus should be on diligently completing the main quest tasks.

How To Unlock The Farmer Life In Fantasy Life i

To embark on the fulfilling journey of a Farmer in Fantasy Life i, you'll need to progress through a key main quest and then obtain your license.

Complete "The Polturnip And The Leafe" Main Quest

During the "The Polturnip And The Leafe" quest, your immediate goal is to find a way to remove a giant vegetable that's trapping Edward.

After speaking with Anne and Rem, you'll travel to the Faraway Island in search of a Farmer within the Guild there.

The Farmer you're looking for is a Strangeling. Following extensive exploration of the dangerous woods, you'll need to return to the present and visit the Goddess to help Pino revert to his human form.

Once Pino is human again, help the tree recover from its cold.

Finally, go back to the present to save Edward.

At this juncture, you can choose to pause the main quest progression. Return to the past and speak with Anne to receive your Farmer's License, officially unlocking the Farmer Life.

Complete "From Farmers, With Love" Quest (Optional Tutorial)

Once you've officially accepted the Farmer Life, you can trigger its first dedicated Story Quest, titled "From Farmers, With Love." This quest serves as an excellent tutorial to the Life's mechanics.

Return to the Faraway Island and speak with the Farmer Life Master to learn the basics of farming.

During this quest, your apprentice will be searching for the Super Sweet Onion. You'll need to ask a Leafe about its location and travel there to learn how to harvest extra-large crops.

Completing this story quest will boost your rank from Novice to Fledgling.

Unlock Your Own Farm At Base Camp

Having learned the fundamentals of Farmer Life, you can now establish your very own farm.

Return to the Base Camp in the present.

Enter the Guild building and approach Cooke.

Under the "Infrastructure" category, you can now purchase Farms.

Seeds for your farm can be acquired from Marco's Shop. Initially, you'll have access to seeds for pumpkin, radish, potato, and onion. As you progress further through the main story, Marco's Shop will expand its inventory to include more seed varieties.

How To Unlock The Artist Life In Fantasy Life i

To embrace the creative spirit of anArtist in Fantasy Life i, you'll need to complete another significantmain quest and then obtain your license.

Complete "The Artist's Treasure Hunt" Main Quest

Similar to the Farmer Life's unlocking quest, "The Artist's Treasure Hunt" also begins with Edward facing an obstacle.

Complete "Set My Soul Ablaze!" Quest (Optional Tutorial)

Once you've officially embraced the Artist Life, you can accept the "Set MySoul Ablaze!" quest if you wish to learn its mechanics.

Now, as a fully-fledged Artist, you're free to create various pieces todecorate your house and the Base Camp, bringing a touch of your uniquecreativity to the world of Fantasy Life i.

Edward is once again locked, this time behind a destroyed statue that needs fixing.

Return to the past and speak with Anne and Rem again. This will allow you to visit the Tropical Isles and locate the Artist Guild in Fantasy Life i.

After you find the treasure and witness an art competition between Paulette and her rival, Kikyo, you can return to Anne in the past to receive your Artist's License, officially unlocking the Artist Life.

Go back to Paulette, who will send you to look for her apprentice to test your artistic skills.

After successfully passing the test, players must then help Paulette complete a special request for a client.

Approach the workbench and craft the Jovial Mask by successfully completing the associated mini-game.

Give the finished mask to the client to complete the "Set My Soul Ablaze!" quest and master the basics of an Artist Life.
