How to Scrap Junk in Fallout 4?

There are different types of garbage that we can use or throw away, the first category of garbage that will be analyzed includes rusty cars, metals, trees and other various useless items that take up space in our settlements. Most of these can be easily removed (excluding certain buildings) by accessing the construction menu via the Workshop or View button and then pressing R (or the corresponding button on the console) to discard them. A list of items obtained from the scrapyard will be displayed and they will be immediately added to your Workshop inventory, another type of trash that can be scrapped are weapons and armor that we cannot use. To do so, we must visit the respective crafting station and locate the items we wish to discard on the list. We press R (or the designated button on your console that is used to transfer items) and select the option to STORE ALL GARBAGE. Just like that, we have successfully gotten rid of all our junk and thrown away all the superfluous items we have in our possession. Now, when we embark on building the next expansion of our base, we simply access the construction menu and start erecting walls, as the Workshop will automatically use our trash efficiently.
