We welcome you to our explanatory guide on Where To Use The Sewer-Gaol Key in Elden Ring? precisely.

Elden Ring's open world is full of things players can do. There are so many places to explore, items to collect, and NPCs to meet, and many of them feature interesting and engaging quest lines. Something new and invisible seems to appear even when players think they have successfully explored a particular area. Players will have to see and do everything possible in Elden Ring.

Certain quests and NPCs are more difficult to find and interact with than others. Dung Eater is an NPC that appears in Roundtable Hold after players enter Leyndell, Royal Capital, or Volcano Manor. When players first see the Red Spirit, they can interact with it, but it appears rather isolated and won't offer anything more than useless threats. Players will need to talk to him after obtaining a particular item quite late in the game to continue his peculiar quest line. Here's a look at Dung Eater, his quest, and how players can use the Sewer-Gaol Key.

Updated June 16, 2024: With the upcoming release of the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, players will be able to return to The Lands Between to complete quests and explore deeper into the hidden reaches scattered across the expanded world. One of the more complicated missions, involving the Dung Eater, requires players to collect the key to the sewer jail and then find a door to open. The following guide has been updated to help players better find the Sewer Jail Key Door. Now includes more information about what to do after players reach the door.

How to get the key to the prison sewer?

Before they can advance their questline enough to obtain the Sewer Prison Key, players must do something else before they can use Dung Eater. Dung Eater is found in a newly opened door in the hallway near the library in Roundtable Hold. Unless the player has an item called Seedbed Curse in their inventory, talking to the Red Spirit sitting cross-legged in this room will not produce results.

After players have progressed far enough to unlock East Capital Rampart, the easiest place to find a Seedbed Curse is inside Leyndell, Royal Capital. They can exit through the door, to the left, and through Rampart's wall from there. Eventually, you'll face a large, fire-breathing enemy, and you'll have the ability to jump to the right and open a door. After entering, turn right to reach an elevator that goes down a little. Players must climb the staircase to the right at the end of this elevator to enter the huge building with a golden dome in front of them. They can climb the nearby spiral staircase to the top floor once they are at the top of the staircase. In that place, they have the ability to obtain the curse of the seedbed from a dead subject sitting in a chair. Dung Eater's Seedbed Curse will open a new dialogue option, giving players the key to the Sewer Jail.

Elden Ring: Where To Use The Sewer-Gaol Key ?

Players must enter the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital, before they can use the Sewer-Gaol Key. Players must descend the nearby stairs, go through the door, and turn left to run along the edge of the balcony from there. They can then jump to the courtyard below and head north to find a well in a small alcove. After descending from this pit, you reach the sewers and it requires a long walk to reach the door that accepts the sewer jail key.

Players must go through the first door on the left when they reach the bottom of the well. From there, they can go down the stairs, past the rats, through the door, and turn left to find a staircase leading down. Players can find another Site of Grace at the first door on the left after going down the stairs. After moving up the stairs and overcoming a large enemy, players will see some grates on the floor with an opening where one is missing. They must fall through this opening and continue northwest through the tunnel, avoiding or fighting off the large rats and plants in the region.

At the end of this path, there is a staircase that will take you to a new open area. You will be taken to a barred door if you turn immediately right. It can be opened with the sewer jail key.

Where should you go after use to use the faucet wrench

Players will confront the Dung Eater's body directly beyond the barred door below Leyndell. Players can interact with Dung Eater by saying "Leave your jail!" or remain silent. The NPC will move to a specific location if told to leave the prison and return to Roundtable Hold. In Roundtable Hold, players can return to their room and find a note telling them to head to the pit outside. This guide on how to reach the outer pit is available for players who want to encounter Dung Eater as an invader and continue their quest line towards Blessi.ng Of Despair Ending.

In conclusion, knowing where to use the sewer jail key is interesting because it allows us to develop and have more fun in this wide world that is presented in Elden Ring.
