The closest place of grace to the church is the Great Dectus Elevator. To get to it you'll have to start by heading to the Liurnia of the Lakes area via the Grand Lift > then head south as you enter the area, until you hit a hill that goes towards a tower, where you'll see a flaming eye. You will have to look for a structure or rock to hide behind until it deactivates and hide again when it reactivates.Start this by going to the tower to climb it and eliminate the enemies at the top.
Then you'll have to move forward through the Frenzied Flame Village and west down the slope and you'll be able to see the Church in the distance. But be aware that when you're close you'll be overrun by Festering Fingerprint Vyke, who will try to inflict Frenzy with enchantments, so finish him off. Then you'll have to head to the Place of Grace located in the Church of Inhibition where you can rest.
