Enhancing your character's strength in Dynasty Warriors: Origins can be achieved through several methods, with Gems being a key option. Equip gems anytime to unlock passive buffs tailored to your selection, providing a significant advantage when tackling higher difficulty levels.
You have the ability to create new gems and enhance those you've already unlocked, with much of the system appearing to be random. Discover the art of crafting and utilizing gems, along with effective strategies to boost your chances of creating the exact gem you desire.
How To Craft Gems in Dynasty Warriors Origins?
Craft your gems with Pyroxene at any Inn or tent throughout the game. In your room, you'll find the second option from the top labeled "Create Gems". Here, you can freely utilize Pyroxene to craft gems at a one-to-one ratio. A specific number of gems can be crafted, and each Pyroxene offers a chance to create any of those five gems.
After crafting a base gem, it will start at level 1 and can be equipped in your Battle Preparations menu. Once the initial gem of its kind is created, each subsequent gem will contribute experience points to the base gem, enhancing its power and effectiveness with each level gained. If you're not after specific gems, feel free to spend all your Pyroxene at once. Craft a variety of gems and upgrade them randomly for a well-rounded boost.
If you have a preference for certain gems, crafting a single gem may trigger "Eyes of the Sacred Bird," which randomly chooses three gems and restricts the gems that can be crafted with all the Pyroxene utilized. To reverse this effect, simply exit and re-enter the gem crafting menu. Creating each gem individually may feel laborious, yet the anticipation of activating Eyes of the Sacred Bird on your chosen gem makes it worthwhile.
The Eyes of the Sacred Bird effectively reduce the randomness in Gem Crafting, though it doesn't eliminate it entirely.

Gem Name / Passive Boost
- Oblivion Gem: Increases attack range.
- Vortex Gem: Boosts damage to airborne enemies.
- Scorch Gem: Boosts damage dealt to enemies with parries.
- Wellspring Gem: Restores health for every 100 enemies defeated.
- Ascendance Gem: Activates a chance to automatically block an attack from an enemy officer.
Best Places to Find Pyroxene in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Pyroxene will spawn in the overworld, forming bright orange crystals protruding from the ground. Mashing a crystal in the overworld rewards you with one Pyroxene, and the crystal disappears. Every time you complete a Skirmish or Battle, you'll find that some of the Pyroxene on the overworld map has respawned. This is a very interesting proposition to go back and revisit old areas, as more Pyroxene is constantly appearing. You can sometimes get Pyroxene by reading letters in your room in the Inn or inside a tent.
