Where to Find Fragmentone Fragments in Donkey Kong Bananza

In Donkey Kong Bananza, players can encounter a unique puzzle piece-like Fractone with missing fragments in various layers. One such Fractone, known as Fragmentone, appears in the Forest Layer and tasks Donkey Kong with retrieving its lost pieces.
This guide will walk you through how to start the Fragmentone quest, locate all missing fragments, and safely return them to complete the challenge and earn two Banandium Gems as a reward.

How to Start the Forest Layer Fragmentone Quest

The Fragmentone quest begins in the Forest Layer (Layer 601). To find it:

Open your map and look for twisting red bramble vines near a set of sea-green geometric blocks.

Behind these vines, you’ll spot an island floating above poison—this is where the Fragmentone NPC resides.

Approach and speak to the puzzle piece-shaped Fragmentone to initiate the quest.

Once activated, Fragmentone will ask DK to find and return three missing fragments scattered across nearby islands.

All Forest Fragmentone Piece Locations

There are three Fragmentone pieces hidden in the Forest Layer. Finding one piece rewards a Banandium Gem, while collecting all three grants a second gem.
Here’s where to find each fragment:

1. First Fragment – Near the Seed Spawn

• After speaking to Fragmentone, turn around and look toward the Seed spawn point.
• One fragment is located on the grassy patch near the Seed.

2. Second & Third Fragments – Right-Side Island

• The remaining two fragments are on a separate island to the right.
• To reach them, you’ll need to use the Seed mechanic:
  • Pick up the Seed and throw it at the wooden enemy on the island.
  • The Seed will root the enemy in place, forming a walkable branch.
  • Carefully cross the branch, collect both fragments, and return to the Seed spawn.

Returning the Fragments to Fragmentone

• Once all three fragments are collected, pick up the Seed again to break the existing branch.
• Throw the Seed to create a new path back to the main Fragmentone.
• Walk up to Fragmentone, and the pieces will automatically reattach, completing the quest.

Tips for Completing the Fragmentone Quest

• Keep fragments close—if they get too far away or take damage, they’ll stop following you.
• Watch your footing—falling into the poison means restarting the fragment collection.
• Use the Seed wisely—plan your branch paths to avoid unnecessary backtracking.

Rewards for Completing the Fragmentone Quest

• 1 Banandium Gem for finding one fragment.
• 2 Banandium Gems for returning all three fragments.
