How to find gold treasure cracks in Disney Dreamlight Valley

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the Treasure Hunt event is a limited-time opportunity to find special prizes. This event requires you to track down and dig up unique gold treasure cracks that lead to riddles, chests, and valuable rewards. Since these golden cracks can be difficult to spot in a large, decorated village, knowing what to look for and how to approach the search is key.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to find gold treasure cracks

During the Treasure Hunt event, sparkling gold dig spots can appear in any of the game's biomes within the main valley.

• Village Biomes: The cracks can spawn in the Dazzle Beach, Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Forgotten Lands, Frosted Heights, and Sunlit Plateau.
• No DLC Worlds: You will not find these spots in any of the DLC worlds, so focus your search on the main village.
• Daily Spawns: Only one gold crack spawns per day for the duration of the event. The biome where it appears is random for each player.

What Gold Cracks Drop

When you dig up a gold crack, it drops a treasure hunt clue in the form of a blue book. This clue contains a riddle that you must solve.

• Solving the Riddle: The riddle points to a specific biome and an obstacle within that biome (e.g., a rock, a sand pile, or a fire). You must use the correct Royal Tool to clear the obstacle.
• The Treasure Chest: Once you clear the correct obstacle, a golden chest will appear. Inside, you will find a Memory Shard and other goodies like Gems and coins.
• Grand Prize: By collecting four Memory Shards, you can unlock a larger event image that reveals the location of the grand prize. The Memory Shards also count towards the Expert Treasure Hunter event duty.

How Often Do Gold Cracks Respawn?

Gold cracks respawn once per day. It's important to find anddig up the daily spot to make sure the next day's crack can spawn.Waiting to solve the riddle is risky, as the clue will disappear fromyour inventory the following day if not completed.

Tips for Finding Gold Treasure Cracks

Finding these small, sparkling spots can be a challenge. Here are some tips to make your search more efficient:

• Use Furniture Mode: The most effective way to find a crack is by entering Furniture Mode. Zoom out to get a top-down view of your entire valley. The goldencracks are sparkling and have a distinct glow, making them much easierto spot from this perspective.
• Change the Time of Day: Adjusting the visual time of day to night can help. The glowing effect of the cracks is much more visible in thedark, especially in biomes like the Forgotten Lands. You can do this bynavigating to the Settings menu, selecting the Graphics tab, andadjusting the "Offset Time of Day" slider.
• Check Behind Everything: If you can't find the crack, it may be hiding behind a large buildingor piece of furniture. Be sure to check every corner and behind all your decorative items.
• Clear Other Dig Spots: It's agood idea to clear out any other dig spots in your biomes, such as theones for Night Shards or other event-specific items. This can free upspawn points and ensure the gold treasure crack appears without anyissues.
