These fragments are not found lying around the valley itself. Instead, you must locate and remove a specific event item called Riley's Birthday Cake, which has a chance to drop pink Memory Shards containing the pieces you need.

Where to Find Riley’s Birthday Cake: Realm Locations

This is the most critical part of the quest. The Birthday Cakes are not located in the open biomes of Dreamlight Valley. You must travel via the Dream Castle to specific character realms to find them.
The three realms where Riley's Birthday Cake can spawn are:
