Requirements:

Level: One's character must reach level 50 and unlock World Tier 3 to access the relevant quest line.
Seasonal Availability: Infernal Hordes could be a seasonal activity, available only during certain periods. Make sure you are playing in the current season.

How to Unlock Infernal Hordes:

1. Travel to Hawezar: Find Hawezar, located south of Fractured Peaks.
2. Seek Locran: In Zarbinzet, which is the central plaza area of Hawezar, seek out Locran, an important quest NPC.
3. "The Eyes of the Enemy" Quest: Take the quest titled "The Eyes of the Enemy" from Locran.
4. Quest Completion and Reward: Once you have completed the questline, you will receive your first Infernal Compass.

Enabling Infernal Hordes:

1. Eat the Compass: Right-click on the Infernal Compass in your inventory to enable Infernal Hordes.
2. Demonic Assault: Round up and be prepared for waves of ever-more-powerful demons.

Getting More Infernal Compasses:

The Infernal Compass is a single-use consumable item. Here's how you get more:

Crafting: The Occultist provides a crafting service. Craft Infernal Compasses with Sigil Powder and Forgotten Souls.
Helltide Chests: Through Helltide events, Abberant Cinders open chests that may contain Infernal Compasses.
Boss Encounters: Take down Doomslayers or other types of high-level enemies who could drop Infernal Compasses.
Endgame Activities: Higher tier Infernal Compasses are the potential rewards of higher endgame activities such as The Pit and Nightmare Dungeon.

Infernal Compass Tiers:

There are a total of eight tiers of Infernal Compasses, each referencing an arena of growing difficulty with increased item quality. Tier 1 operates in Nightmare, though all the rest require at least Torment difficulty. Abyssal Scrolls can also be used to upgrade your Infernal Compass, giving access to further challenging arenas.
