How to salvage in Diablo 4

Diablos 4 brings a range of new and exciting features to the hack-and-slash dungeon-crawler, including an extensive loot system and an improved salvaging system. But what exactly is the salvaging system? In this blog, we’ll explore how to salvage your gear in Diablo 4, from finding the Blacksmith in Kyovashad to unlocking cosmetic options. 

It can be easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer amount of loot you’ll find throughout your adventures in Diablo 4. Some of it will be useful and powerful, while other pieces will be outdated or not as powerful as you’d like. That’s where salvaging comes in. Salvaging can help you break down old equipment and turn it into useful materials, saving you time and effort when it comes to finding new gear. 

The first step in the salvaging process is to find the Blacksmith in Kyovashad. The Blacksmith can be found on the west side of the town, near the entrance. Once you’ve located the Blacksmith, all you have to do is interact with them to begin the salvaging process. 

Now it’s time to start salvaging your gear. The Blacksmith will give you a few options for your gear. You can choose to break down your equipment into materials, which can then be used to craft new items, or you can choose to store your gear for future use. If you decide to break down your gear, the Blacksmith will explain the salvaging process, which is pretty simple. All you have to do is select the items you want to break down and the Blacksmith will do the rest. It’s important to note that you should be careful to only break down gear that you know you won’t need in the future, as you won’t be able to get it back. 

Once you’ve salvaged your gear, you’ll be able to unlock cosmetic options for your character. These cosmetic options can give your character a unique look, and they can also boost their stats. To access the cosmetic options, all you have to do is select the gear you want to unlock and the Blacksmith will do the rest.
