Our guide today aims to explain to you How to get the Ring of Misfortune in Diablo 4.
Since it launched, Diablo 4's open world has been full of secrets for players committed to unlocking them all to discover. The quest is very much in the spirit of the now-infamous Cow Level. A recent discovery, Ring of Misfortune, has fanned this same sense of exploratory fervor once more. This mysterious Ancestral Unique item requires a convoluted series of steps in-game to acquire. Given how rare the item is and just how complex the steps are, many players have turned to outside sources for help in accomplishing this difficult task.
Fortunately, over the past few days, several tools have popped up to help players in pursuit of the Ring of Misfortune. Thorough guides provide details regarding the procurement of the required Lucky Coin, its intended use location, and the exact procedure that summons the ring's drop. Beyond the actual acquisition process, such guides examine the item's statistical profile for what potential impact it could have on character builds. These resources provide a clear roadmap and in-depth analysis that help players make informed decisions about whether to implement the Ring of Misfortune into their gameplay strategies.
How To Get The Ring Of Misfortune in Diablo 4?
Getting this really cool and highly pursued Ancestral Unique, the Ring of Misfortune, is a long procedure. This highly elusive item requires absolutely coordinated effort in a full party made up of five different classes for obtaining it. This is obtained when every single member of the class, in turn, contributes one Lucky Coin to the Wishing Well during the same session. At the moment, using the current class list, this entails having five players in perfect synchronization. Cryptic writings on the Wishing Well note that the number of classes required might increase to six once the Spiritborn class is added.
Due to this limit on instances, though, most players work around it using a practical solution to get around the limit and party up for collecting the artifact. By making a full party of four, then one of these can leave while staying within the realm, thus allowing the invitation of a fifth player to that same party. This is needed to maximize the possibility of gathering together the group that is required for the attainment of the Ring.
Find the Wishing Well and Its Secrets
The Wishing Well is to the east of Scosglen, near the Cerrigar. This well can, to a degree, be said to be a show piece due to its hidden nature but it will show itself to any person carrying a Lucky Coin. This rare item will enable players to throw it into the well with interaction, granting the title "Well Wisher." Now, the real magic happens when a group of players do this ritual with each of them holding a Lucky Coin. It is one cosmic display that culminates in the Ring of Misfortune.
It's not that easy to get a Lucky Coin. This is a rare drop off the NPC carcasses in the Overworld, but only under certain conditions: with a player who has Lucky Hit Chance over 50%, and under a Greed Shrine while loot is in progress. For farming this more effectively, consider the western half of the Strand region in Scosglen, where Greed Shrines tend to spawn near areas that see heavy NPC traffic. With Lucky Coins finally turning up in World Tier 3 and Tier 4, at this point, nobody knows if it is going to drop from the lower tiers. At worst, people can try those tiers later if they so wish.
The Ring of Misfortune: A Risky Reward
Although sporting a rather imposing item level of 925, the Ring of Misfortune nevertheless can be equipped from the very beginning of your adventure. This mighty ring holds substantial boosts to all resistances, stats, armor, thorns, maximum life, and life per second. These attributes are truly highly valued among many endgame characters.
The huge downside, however, is the Lucky Hit effect in this ring. An effect which drains all resources of the target with a 100% chance is nothing to sneeze at, so in most cases, this downside weights heavily against the upside. Thus, it is thought that the Ring of Misfortune will turn out to be an extremely niche item for only those heroes who do not significantly depend on primary resources.
That risky reward could include, but is not limited to, Necromancers focused on Infinimist or Sever; Druids that make use of Poisonclaw; Sorcerers that use Arclash; Barbarians focused on Thorns or Frenzy; and even Rogues running Heatseeker may have room for it.
While Ring of Misfortune might not be a universal endgame staple, it definitely has the potential to become one for specific builds. Then, gather your friends and venture forth on a merry quest to the Wishing Well, where you may just find this unique and potentially game-changing item.
This is everything you need to know about How to get the Ring of Misfortune in Diablo 4, follow this guide step by step and you will achieve it without complexity.
