How to Obtain Glacial Nimbus in Diablo 4 Season 9

You can acquire the Glacial Nimbus by progressing through and completing the main Seasonal Quest for Season 9, titled "Keepers of the Glen." Specifically, its unlock is tied to a particular objective within this questline:

Clear a Horadric Strongroom: As part of the "Keepers of the Glen" quest, you'll be tasked with clearing a Horadric Strongroom.

Use a Nightmare Sigil: To find and access a Horadric Strongroom, you'll need to use a Nightmare Sigil. These are typically obtained by completing Nightmare Dungeons or crafted at the Occultist.

Fight and Retrieve: Battle your way through the Strongroom, defeat the enemies within, and successfully retrieve the blood relic.

Quest Completion: Once you collect the blood relic, the "Keepers of the Glen" quest objective will be marked as complete, and you will be immediately rewarded with the Glacial Nimbus Infusion.

How to Use Glacial Nimbus in Diablo 4

• Chilled Effect: Enemies damaged by your spell will be Chilled for 15-25% (this percentage scales with the Infusion's Rank). This effect canapply once per enemy every 1 second, making it highly effective forcrowd control and setting up other Cold-related effects.
• Cold Damage Bonus: While the Glacial Nimbus is equipped, your character's Cold Damage Bonus will be equal to your highest existing Damage Type Bonus. This means if you have, for example, a higher Fire Damage Bonus fromother gear, your Cold Damage Bonus will temporarily match it,significantly boosting your ice-spell's damage without needing to specheavily into Cold damage on your gear.

Upgrading Glacial Nimbus:

You can further enhance the Glacial Nimbus Infusion to increase its effectiveness. Upgrades are performed from the Horadric Spellcraft Menu using a new seasonal material called Horadric Phial.

• Ranks 2-4: Each rank-up costs 25 Horadric Phials.
• Ranks 5-10: Each rank-up costs 75 Horadric Phials.
• Rank 5 Special Effect: Upon reaching Rank 5, the Glacial Nimbus gains an additional powerful utility: it deactivates monster Explosive effects for 5 seconds.
