Destiny: Rising, the latest mobile entry in the iconic Destiny franchise, introduces a new cast of characters, an alternate timeline, and a fresh take on the core gameplay loop. While the game features many familiar elements, such as the looter-shooter mechanics and iconic Exotics, it also introduces new concepts, like the Mythic weapon tier.This guide will provide a comprehensive overview of how to acquire Exotic and Mythic weapons in Destiny: Rising, including a detailed list of every available Exotic and its source.

How Exotic Engrams Work

Unlike the main Destiny games, Exotic Engrams in Destiny: Rising have a more streamlined system. They are the primary way to obtain most Exotic weapons and are a cornerstone of the end-game grind.

• Acquisition: Exotic Engrams are rewarded for completing high-level, end-game activities. To access these activities, you must have completed a significant portion of the main story and reached at least Team Level 50.
• End-Game Activities: Once you have completed Chapter 4-2 and the Armageddon mission, you will unlock two key modes that drop Exotic Engrams: Gauntlet Ops and Legendary Campaign.
• Choice Engrams: In some cases, such as the two Engrams granted from the 14-Day Sign-In event, you will be given a choice from a limited pool of three specific Exotic weapons. These are excellent for new players to get a head start.

The Difference Between Exotic and Mythic Weapons

Destiny: Rising introduces a new weapon tier that sits above all others: Mythic.

• Exotic Weapons: Exotics are powerful, one-of-a-kind weapons with unique perks and abilities. You can only equip one Exotic weapon at a time.
• Mythic Weapons: Mythic weapons are a new category that stands above even Legendaries. They can roll with Mythic-grade Perks, which are significantly more powerful than the perks found on Rare and Legendary gear. They are also obtained from very exclusive sources, including:
  • Season Pass Engram Rewards
  • The Gauntlet Pinnacle Rewards
  • Event Rewards
  • Legendary Story Mission Rewards
