When you first encounter the sources of light and darkness that you need to unravel in Destiny 2: Final Shape, you might feel a little confused. Luckily, I'm here to unravel it for you. This is a similar process for the Guide at the beginning of the game.

How to untangle the Founts of Light and Darkness in Destiny 2?

Once you reach this stage, you need to unravel or activate the Sources in a specific order to gain access to the next area. This can be determined by the rays of light emitted by the panels themselves. The first one will have one beam, the second will have two beams, and so on. To activate these tokens, you must first collect the appropriate seeds until you collect the maximum number. This can be achieved by killing one of the Guardians of Light and Darkness, which is the Hive Knight. Collect three of their shards to get either a Light or a Dark Shard.

How to get Light Shards and Dark Shards in Destiny 2?

To collect Light Particles, you need to destroy the Hive Knight of Light and Darkness with a shield. This will drop three Light Particles that you can collect to solve the Light Source problem. You do this by jumping on the Light Plate. To collect Dark Shards, simply kill the same enemy with any weapon. He will drop three Dust Particles, enough to solve Dark Spring.

Then enable the sources in the following order:

Middle of the right hallway (Light)
At the entrance to two hallways (Dark)
Head of the left hallway (Light)
Middle of the left hallway (Dark)

If you move Light or Dark spots to these cells, they will become active. If you make the wrong order, you will have to start over. The instructions depend on where you enter this room.

Where to collect motes in Destiny 2?

The fragments used to decode the Source can be collected from Guardians of Light and Darkness. You'll find it in the middle of the hallway on the right, just before the first Source. You'll find the second one at the end of the hallway. Once killed, they will respawn frequently but pose little threat.
