How To Start the Legendary Campaign in Destiny 2
Method 1: Initializing the Legendary Challenge
- 1. Verification of Acquisition: Prior to commencing the campaign, confirm that the acquisition and installation of The Final Shape update is complete.
- 2. Launching the Campaign: Initiate Destiny 2.
- 3. Narrative Exposition: Observe the introductory cutscenes that establish the context for the final confrontation with the Witness.
- 4. Selection of Difficulty: Following the conclusion of the cutscenes, a crucial decision will be presented: "Be Brave" or "Become Legend."
- 5. Legendary Commencement: To undertake the campaign on Legendary difficulty, select the "Become Legend" option. This path is recommended for experienced Guardians seeking a more demanding experience.
Method 2: Transitioning to Legendary Mid-Campaign
- 1. Director Access: Navigate to the Director interface within the game.
- 2. Destination Selection: Select the Destinations tab.
- 3. Objective Identification: Locate the Pale Heart, the prominent new node occupying the central position on the Destinations tab.
- 4. Mission Selection Refinement: On the Pale Heart map, locate the "Replayable Missions" section on the right-hand side.
- 5. Legendary Campaign Activation: Select "Legendary Campaign" to commence replaying the campaign on Legendary difficulty.

Engaging in the Legendary difficulty presents a significantly increased challenge. Enemies possess heightened power, and encounters will be considerably more lethal.
