Paint Cages are distinctive containers found across various maps in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, often holding valuable treasures for intrepid explorers. One such cage resides on the Sirene map, and some players might find themselves stumped on how to access its rewards. This guide is specifically designed to assist those players, providing a clear pathway to reaching and opening the Paint Cage within Sirene.While opening Paint Cages is not a mandatory objective for game completion, these special containers offer worthwhile rewards, including valuable Tint upgrades, powerful weapons, and unique Pictos that can enhance your abilities.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - How to Reach the Paint Cage in Sirene

To reach the Paint Cage in Sirene, follow these directions after progressing to the first Expedition Flag on the map, the Dancing Classes flag:

From the Dancing Classes Expedition Flag, proceed forward along the path.

You will soon encounter a small flight of stairs. Ascend these stairs.

At the top of the stairs, look forward and slightly to your left. You should spot a large opening in the wall.

The path beyond this opening leads to a gold thread. Interact with the gold thread to descend.

Continue moving forward after descending. You will encounter a gap in the path. Use your grapple ability to cross this gap safely.

After grappling across the gap, you will reach a platform that you can activate.

The Paint Cage you are looking for is located to the left of this activation platform.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - How to Open the Paint Cage in Sirene

Opening the Paint Cage in Sirene follows the same mechanic as other Paint Cages in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.You need to utilize Free Aim to break the three locks securing the cage.

To activate Free Aim:

• PlayStation: Hold the L2 button and press the R2 button.
• Xbox: Hold the LT button and press the RT button.

Once in Free Aim mode, you need to locate and shoot the three locks. Here are their specific positions:

Lock 1: This lock is located on the pillar directly behind the Paint Cage.

Lock 2: Look for rubble directly to the left of the Paint Cage. The second lock is situated on this rubble.

Lock 3: Walk back towards the stairs that you used to reach this area. Shortly after passing the stairs, you will encounter a wall. The third lock is located to the right on this wall.

Carefully aim and shoot each of these three locks to break them. Once all threelocks are destroyed, the Paint Cage will open, revealing its reward.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - Sirene Paint Cage Reward

Upon successfully breaking all three locks, the Paint Cage in Sirene will be replaced with a Level 13 Shield Affinity Pictos. Here are the stats and the unique effect that this Pictos provides:

• Stats:
  • 118 Speed
  • 16% Critical Rate
• Effect: 30% increased damage while having Shields, but receiving damage always removes all Shields.

While the 30% damage increase offered by the Shield Affinity Pictos can be asignificant advantage in combat, maintaining its effect requiresskillful play. You will need to be proficient at dodging and parryingenemy attacks in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to consistently benefitfrom the Pictos's damage boost, as any damage taken will immediatelydeplete your Shields.
