Dispersal: Once the city-state is defenseless, move one of your units onto the city tile. An option labeled "Disperse Independent" (usually bound to the 'X' key) will appear. Selecting this option will completely destroy the city-state, removing it from the game.

Rewards: Destroying a city-state grants you culture and other bonuses. It also removes a potential threat or rival from the map, securing your borders and resources.
