Look for Claptrap at a small camp located southeast of The Launchpad settlement. He’ll be waiting with a typically dramatic request to retrieve his cherished belongings.

A Step-by-Step No Place Like Home Walkthrough

1. Locate Claptrap's Cherished Portrait

Your first target is an Order of the Impending Storm base. Your objective is inside a locked depot, but gaining entry requires a keycard.

• Defeat the Big Orange Hothead: Fight your way through the base to find the miniboss, the Big Orange Hothead. This enemy features multiple health bars. For an easier fight, exploit his weaknesses to Shock and Corrosive damage.
• Loot the Keycard: Upon defeat, the keycard will drop among his loot. Potential Bug: A known glitch causes the keycard to fall through the map. If you cannot see it, your only recourse is to quit and reload your game to respawn the boss and try again.
• Find the Secret Entrance: With the keycard in hand, head to the marked depot door. You’ll find the switch is inoperable. Instead, look for a broken section of wall nearby with a wire leading inside. Follow this path to discover a hidden switch that opens a secret entrance. Grab the portrait to complete this step.

2. Retrieve VR-ON1CA's Processor

Next, Claptrap will direct you to a nearby facility to secure a processor for his "lady friend," VR-ON1CA.

• Activate the Laser Puzzle: The processor is behind a sealed door. Interact with the switch to activate a laser grid.
• Align the Solar Panels: Head outside to find a series of solar panels. Use your grapple hook to rotate each panel, angling them to reflect the laser beam backtoward the locked door. Proper alignment will disable the security andopen the path.
• Grab the Processor: Enter the storage room and claim your prize. Potential Bug: Sometimes, the door appears open but an invisible barrier remains. Ifyou cannot enter, reload your save and realign the lasers.
