While any gun will do in a pinch, certain legendary weapons and gear synergize perfectly with his skills, allowing you to maximize your damage output and shred through the endgame.

Best Legendary Weapons and Gear for Rafa

These are some of the most sought-after legendary items that can take a Rafa build to the next level.

Hot Slugger

• Weapon Type: Jakobs Shotgun
• Trait: Blazing Barrel: On kill, deal +30% damage for 10s. Stacks up to 3 times for a total of +90% bonus damage.
• Drop Source: Callous, Harbinger of Annihilating Death - Craven's Nook, Heart of the Mountain

The Hot Slugger is arguably the best shotgun for Rafa. Its massive base damage is amplified by the Blazing Barrel trait, which, at max stacks, gives you an extra 90% damage. This makes it a beast for clearing mobs. Its synergy with the Vitriol skill from Rafa's Remote Agent (red) tree is what makes it truly special. Since the Hot Slugger has a magazine size of one, every shot benefits from the bonus corrosive damage granted by Vitriol, making it incredibly efficient.

Phantom Flame

• Weapon Type: Jakobs Pistol
• Trait: Midday: Zooming in acquires a lock on targets over time, and firing while zoomed in shoots the entire magazine.

Rafa has a unique skill called Bullet-Buddy Deluxe that allows him to grant his weapons infinite ammo for a shortduration. The Phantom Flame takes full advantage of this. When paired with Bullet-Buddy Deluxe, you can hold down thetrigger and unleash a continuous stream of bullets, dishing out anabsurd amount of damage.

The Kickballer is a very powerful, but potentially buggy, legendaryshotgun. When combined with a Jakobs licensed part and the Penetratoraugment from a throwing knife (which forces critical hits on targets),you can create an infinite loop of ricocheting projectiles. This willcompletely destroy your screen but will also melt any enemy in seconds.The downside is that the ricocheting projectiles can also down your owncharacter, so it's a high-risk, high-reward option.

Swarm

• Weapon Type: Grenade
• Trait: Swoosh: Generates a swarm of projectiles that seek targets.

While not a gun, the Swarm grenade is a must-have for any Rafa build. • Devastating Dancer (Class Mod): This class mod doubles the strength of your Overdrive buffs, but youcan only benefit from them while your action skill is active. It alwaysrolls with a point in the Soltado skill, which doubles your Overdrive buffs again on kill.
• Firewerks (Armor Shield): This shield spawns a barrage of homing missiles whenever you get akill, making it fantastic for clearing groups of enemies and adding toyour overall DPS.
• War Paint (Repkit): This Repkit grants a buff to your fire rate and movement speed for a short duration whenused. It's a great Repkit to have on hand for boss fights or clearingtough encounters.
