This comprehensive, step-by-step walkthrough will detail exactly how to complete the free quest to build and obtain the LGM-1, transforming you into a master of extraterrestrial warfare.

Prerequisites for the Quest

Before embarking on the hunt for components, you must first establish a foothold on the map. Ensure you have completed two critical objectives:

Activate Power: Turn on the main power supply for the facility.

Unlock Pack-a-Punch: Activate the Pack-a-Punch machine, a staple for upgrading your arsenal.

Once these are done, the elite enemy O.S.C.A.R. will spawn into the map. His presence is essential for both acquiring parts and completing the final stages of the quest.Step 1: Gathering the Four Contraption PartsThe LGM-1 is constructed from four unique parts scattered across Astra Malorum. These can be collected in any order.

Damaged Drone: Locate O.S.C.A.R. on your Tac-Map. Engage and destroy one of the small drones that accompany him. While these drones are weak to the Brain Rot ammo mod, any weapon will suffice, especially in early rounds. The destroyed drone will drop the Damaged Drone part. Collect it and evacuate the area.

Absolute Zero Fragments: You will need the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod. Purchase it from The Arsenal for 500 Salvage. Equip it to any weapon and seek out the distinctive Dark Aether crystals found in various locations. Shooting these crystals with your Cryo Freeze-equipped weapon will cause them to shatter, dropping an Absolute Zero Fragment. You must collect three fragments to proceed.

Car Battery: Accumulate 5,000 Essence and use the Pack-a-Punch machine on a weapon. Then, return to the starting Crash Site area. Find "Ol' Tessie," the wrecked vehicle, and look inside at the gear shift, which is adorned with a Mister Peeks head. Shoot the gear shift, and the Car Battery will eject from the car's hood for you to grab.

Aberrant Wiring: Travel to the Stargazer's Courtyard. Among the several lampposts here, one will have a flickering light. Identify and shoot this specific lamppost to knock loose the Aberrant Wiring, your final component.

Step 2: Using the Parts to Defeat O.S.C.A.R. with TrapsWith all four parts in hand, your objective shifts. You must now hunt O.S.C.A.R. and eliminate him using three specific environmental traps, each activated with your collected parts.

• Trap #1: The Electro-Volt Projector (The Luminarium)
  • Location: Head to The Luminarium (Jugger-Nog's location).
  • Setup: Find the large trap apparatus and interact with the switch labeled "Ready" to insert your Damaged Drone.
  • Execution: Lure O.S.C.A.R. into the room and activate the switch again. A timedsequence begins. Your goal is simply to survive within the room as thetrap overloads O.S.C.A.R.'s battery, ignoring his drones. Stay mobileand avoid zombies until the trap eliminates him.
• Trap #2: Thurston's Rocket Ignition (Museum Infinitum)
  • Location: Go to the Museum Infinitum (Speed Cola's room).
  • Setup: In the western section, you'll find a large rocket.
  • Execution: With O.S.C.A.R. in the room, interact with the rocket on its south side to start a 5-second countdown. Quickly maneuver so that O.S.C.A.R. ispositioned directly behind the rocket's thrusters. The ignition blastmust hit and kill him. If you fail, you must collect three more Absolute Zero Fragments to retry.
• Trap #3: The Observatory Laser (Observatory Dome)
  • Location: Enter the Observatory Dome (Pack-a-Punch area).
  • Setup: A series of hissing steam valves will appear in the room. Only one valve at a time will emit a steam burst. You must shoot the active valve, then locate and shoot the next one that starts steaming. Repeat this process five times to recalibrate the observatory's targeting system.
  • Execution: Bring O.S.C.A.R. into the dome. Interact with the large church organopposite the Pack-a-Punch to access a telescope interface. Align thetelescope's lens with the sun (typically requiring an adjustment up andslightly to the left). Once aligned, a powerful laser will strike thefloor.
