With the Saug's "great rate of fire," "high recoil," "excellent mobility," and "good handling," the Gunsmith will be required to take it to a level where it can compete in the steamy world of BO6 multiplayer.

Even though this doesn't quite put it at the same level of quality as the best BO6 guns, the excellent damage up close and for a fast fire rate creates one of the most interesting and fun run-and-gun SMGs for players who want to use omnimovement to maximum effect.

My Saug Build for BO6



Slot 1:



  • Muzzle: Reduces muzzle flash and recoil.
  • Compensator: Reduces recoil.
  • First Shot Recoil Control: Reduces recoil on the first shot.
  • Vertical Recoil Control: Reduces recoil in the vertical direction.


Slot 2:



  • Barrel: Increases damage range and bullet velocity.
  • Reinforced Barrel: Increases damage range and bullet velocity.


Slot 3:



  • Underbarrel:
  • Vertical Foregrip: Reduces recoil in the vertical direction.
  • Horizontal Recoil Control: Reduces recoil in the horizontal direction.


Slot 4:



  • Magazine:
  • Extended Mag I: Increases magazine ammo capacity.


Slot 5:



  • Rear Grip:
  • Commando Grip: Increases aim down sight speed and sprint to fire speed.


Slot 6:



  • Stock:
  • Balanced Stock: Increases aim walking movement speed, movement speed, hipfire movement speed, and strafing movement speed.
  • Fire Mods:
  • Recoil Springs: Reduces horizontal and vertical recoil.
Although it requires the Gunfighter Wildcard, these seven attachments help maximize the Saug's potential. You can replace Commando Grip and Balanced Stock with something else, like Perk Greed, if you so want since Mobility is already powerful.


We recommend these attachments in particular because we believe they will bring out the Saug's full potential. It may not be as good as the SMG in Black Ops 4, but it is still a formidable close-range weapon in this Call of Duty.


With its high fire rate and recoil to match, the Saug requires Recoil Springs in addition to the Vertical Foregrip. Of course, this is where the Ported Compensator really shines, but you can either use that or a Compensator/Suppressor depending on how you want to play.


I feel like Gunfighter is a must here, as the two additional attachments give a nice boost to Mobility, which is crucial for any SMG player who's in the thick of things with their enemies, and really plays into BO6's focus on omnimovement.

  • Deadly: Frag or Semtex
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System


Benefits and course planning



  • One benefit: ninja skills or dexterity
  • Advantage two: Fast Hands
  • Third perk: Bankroll or Double Time
  • Gunnerfighter: A Wildcard


For the most part, with a couple of minor adjustments, this general class should work across the board in any mode. To some degree the Perk options become mode dependent, but that +150 start score from Bankroll is too good to resist while attempting to build Scorestreaks, and the Perk selections are preferential.


If you're worried about leaving any survivors once you burn through the Saug's 45-round clip, Fast Hands is a decent Perk Two option since it quickens weapon swaps.


This is an SMG you should level up and master purely because it can still compete despite not being the best in BO6 at this moment in time. You never know when a buff may be around the corner.
