Black Ops 6 Zombies has received new content beyond the debut of Grief in Season 4. A fan-favorite Ammo Mod, Shatter Blast, has made its return through a limited-time event, offering players a powerful new tool for tearing through the undead hordes.
Shatter Blast in Black Ops 6 Zombies functions almost identically to its Black Ops Cold War variant. This potent Ammo Mod enhances a player's weapon by triggering an explosion that not only damages enemies but also excels at shredding armor plates. However, it requires a specific unlock method before players can access its power.
Black Ops 6 Zombies : How to Unlock Shatter Blast
Shatter Blast is available as a free reward through the Rivals Event in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. To unlock it, players must earn a total of 43,000 XP during the event's active period.
Once you've accumulated the required XP, the Shatter Blast Ammo Mod will be unlocked. You can then apply it to any weapon in Black Ops 6 Zombies by crafting it at The Arsenal for 500 Salvage.
Event End Date: The Rivals Event for Black Ops 6 and Warzone concludes on July 3, 2025, at 10 AM PT. After this date, for those who haven't unlocked it, the Shatter Blast Ammo Mod will be moved to the Armory.
Best Shatter Blast Augments in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Shatter Blast's primary utility lies in
its explosive ability to damage groups of enemies and destroy the armor
of Armored Zombies. While players can experiment with various augments,
as of Season 4, two specific augments stand out for maximizing its
effectiveness:
- Blast Chain (Major Augment): This augment allows Shatter Blast to trigger additional detonations in the area of activation for approximately 5 seconds.
- Blast Boost (Minor Augment): This increases the damage dealt by each explosion.
When combined, Blast Chain and Blast Boost provide the maximum possible damage output from a single activation of
Shatter Blast. This combination is exceptionally effective for clearing
out large groups of zombies and can inflict significant damage on
Special and Elite Zombies.
For even greater synergy, consider pairing Shatter Blast with Citrus Focus and Chillberry for Elemental Pop. This setup allows players to frequently benefit from these powerful buffs, enabling them to decimate hordes of zombies with
remarkable ease.
